This might be a good shoot for those of you who are competition curious.
Hi everyone,
Entries are open for our DVA 720 Tournament on Sunday 27 September. It is a one day, single 720 round on our outdoor range at Yarrambat, sanctioned through Archery Victoria, so your score counts towards your rating and classification.
We have 96 spots per flight. Distances may be capped to specific age brackets as entries fill, and while we will look at opening extra places if demand is strong, please do not count on it. If you want to shoot, get your entry in early.

Registration and equipment inspection: 8:00am to 8:45am
Practice: from 9:00am
Scoring: 9:30am sharp
Format: Single 720 round
Entry fee: Adult $49, Youth $34
Entries close: 11:59pm Friday 25 September
The provisional schedule has Flight 1 at 9:30am and Flight 2 at 1:00pm after lunch. We will confirm flight allocations and arrival times once entries close.
Novice round
If you are not yet able to shoot the full distance for your division, you can still be part of the day. We will run a novice round alongside the main event. You shoot at the furthest distance you can manage (where space on the range permits), and we then use your rating score to rank you against the other novice archers, even if they shot a different distance.
It is a good way to get a real tournament under your belt without being pushed to a distance you are not ready for. When you register, let us know you would like the novice round, or email [email protected], so we can plan the target layout.
Coffee van and food truck
The coffee van and food truck at the State and National Indoor Championships in August were a hit. That was the first time we had them on site and the first time at an archery event in Australia! , and it worked so well that they will be part of our events from now on. Both will be back for the 720, so you can leave the esky at home if you like. Which food truck it will be this time round is still to be revealed, so keep an eye out closer to the day, give suggestions and maybe we can arrange it ;)
Before you enter
Your current Archery Australia digital card (or affiliate card) must be shown at registration. No card, no shoot. Archery Australia dress regulations apply, including closed toe shoes, so wear your club shirt and come prepared for a spring day outdoors.
Late entries may be accepted with a $10 late fee. Requests need to reach [email protected] by 1:00pm on the Saturday before the event. If you withdraw before entries close you get a full refund. After that, up to 50%.
The event is open to archers from any club, so please share this with friends at other clubs who would like a day out at Yarrambat.
