Our U18.1 Boys have secured their spot in the VC Championship Grand Final! 🧡

They’ll take on Kilsyth this Saturday, 12 September at 7:00PM at State Basketball Centre.

Venue entry changes from Monday 14 September

Please take note of the updated entry arrangements for Courts 1–4:

Courts 1–4: Entry will be via the old front entrance, with the hours listed in the graphic applying to this entrance only.

Courts 5–8: The rear car park entrance will remain unchanged.

These arrangements are temporary while Bayside City Council completes the proposed traffic management changes to the rear car park.

Once these works are completed, the front entrance for Courts 1–4 will close permanently.

Please take extra care in the car park, with children crossing car park roads, and ensure they are escorted to and from the venue entrances.

SIGNING POST FRIDAY IS BACK! 🧡

And our first announcement for the 2027 season is a strong one.

We’re thrilled to announce that Sally Burke is back, signing on as our VYC Women’s Head Coach for 2027!

Sally had an incredible first season leading our VYC Women, guiding the team to an outstanding campaign and falling just one win short of a Grand Final appearance. Her impact on the group was undeniable, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s ahead in 2027.

Before taking on the VYC role, Sally led our U18.1 VC Girls to an UNDEFEATED season, making her return to the Youth Women’s program an exciting one.

We couldn’t be more excited to have Sally back on board and leading our Youth Women into 2027.

Welcome back, Sally! 🧡💙

The safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a shared responsibility across our basketball community.

To support a consistent approach to child safety across all clubs, the SBA is introducing an updated WWCC verification process. Starting 5th October, all Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, and anyone acting in these roles need to ensure their WWCC is registered and accessible through the Service Victoria app on their mobile phone. As part of this process, SBA staff may conduct periodic spot checks at venues to verify that all team officials and anyone acting in these roles holds a current and valid WWCC.

There are no exemptions to this requirement, including registered Victorian school teachers.

Detailed instructions on how to complete this requirement can be found on the SBA website under SBA WWCC Policy.
