We are incredibly proud to announce that Cindy Rella, Australia’s Queen of Kettlebell Sport, has once again been named one of four Masters finalists in the 2025 Victorian Sport Awards.

This recognition comes at the perfect time, following Cindy’s outstanding performance at last weekend’s WKSF Oceania Championships, where she secured her second Master of Sport Elite Class ranking. In doing so, she became the first and only Australian to achieve this WKSF international rank, while also breaking three more Australian records.

At 53, Cindy continues to raise the bar as a masters athlete, showing no signs of slowing down. Her achievements in competition are remarkable, but just as impressive is the way she supports and encourages those around her. Known for her generosity of spirit, Cindy contributes to a positive and inclusive culture within the sport and is deeply respected across the international kettlebell community.

Her finalist nomination reflects an extraordinary 2025 season, which included more world records, major championship wins, and continued success on the world stage. Cindy’s ability to rise through challenge and adversity is one of her greatest strengths, and her list of achievements continues to grow.

When asked about becoming a finalist again, Cindy said she is simply grateful for the opportunity to shine a light on Kettlebell Sport and help raise awareness of the sport she loves. We share that hope and couldn’t think of a better ambassador.

Over the weekend, 3 of our MKSA members competed at the WKSF Oceania Championships hosted by GSAA, achieving great results.

Rhianna is new to Kettlebell Sport and has only been training for a few months, yet she’s already lifting like a pro at her first live event, with a smile on her face the whole time.
First day was 10kg Traditional OALC and finished with 104 reps
2nd day was 10kg 30-minute OALC, and finished with 310
Both results gave her Australian records.

Nick was a busy boy. And also had some great results
First day LC 20kg for 44 reps and OALC 20kg 109 reps
2nd day OALC 312 reps and Military Sn**ch 216
Also, giving him 2 Australian Records for his efforts

Cindy was on fire, doing what no other Australian has done, achieving her 2nd master of Sport Elite Class
1st Day OALC 20kg for 127 reps Sn**ch 16kg for 177 reps
2nd Day OALC half marathon 410 reps massive numbers
These results earned her 3 Australian records also

Yesterday, MKSA kicked off the SSA/IKMF Season with UGC1.

And we had our first timer, Rhiannon, tackle her first 30-minute lift, and Cindy took on the OALC 20kg

IT was great to see Rhiannon smile the whole way through, and is now looking forward to her next competition.

A huge shout-out to Strength Sports Australia for allowing MKSA to host a Hub for the first comp of the season.

Our last training session of the year is this Saturday at 8.30, with a Christmas breakfast afterwards to celebrate. All welcome, Rella’s 21, 95 Tulip Street, Cheltenham.

We are looking forward to what the New Year brings and look forward to hearing all the goals for the 2026 lifting year.  It’s going to be a bumper year!
