Due to the predicted rainfall and flooding the range will be closed on Friday 25th February 2022.
Business as usual next Wednesday 2nd of March for Target Shooting and next Friday 4th March for Silhouette Shooting.
Remember, stay safe and stay home and if it's flooded forget it!

Childers hosted the Qld Prone Championship over the weekend.
Was a fantastic shoot.
Fun was had by all.
Bill Slack bought his fun shoot gear everyone that had a go loved it. Thanks Bill.
Childers put on a great shoot.
Great company, plenty of laughs and banter.
The Cup returned to Gympie this year with Amanda Long - Gold 159, followed by Dave Sims -Silver 158
And Jeff Hawker - Bronze 158

Thank you for your patience and understanding during the construction of the new improved concrete car park.
Gympie Smallbore Rifle & Silhouette Club Inc Committee has made the decision to re-open the range on the 1st September.

PLEASE NOTE:- The concreting job will not be finished at this stage. You will not be able to drive into the lower car park area. Foot traffic only access to the range will be the path below the amenities block, over the new bridge and through the rear door of the clubhouse (where the BBQ, table and chairs are located).
Take care as you negotiate this long journey.

A working bee will happen shortly after the concreting job is finished to re-align the gates to the range, guard rails on drop off sides of the concrete, back fill and a general maintenance clean up.
At this date the new silhouette cut outs should be available for welding onto the frames. You will be contacted about the date at a later time.

There is good news and some not so good news.

Starting with the good news is that the long-awaited concreting for the disability car park and surrounds is to commence on the 16th August.

While this is moving the club in a forward direction the not so good news is the range will be closed to all members, at this point in time till the 1st of September.

We will keep you updated with the progress.

Target shooting restarts this Wednesday evening.
All attendees are requested to help set up and pack up at the end of the shoot.
Range is open from 4.30pm for practice.
