So proud of our beautiful lesson horse, King, attending Cooloola Dressage for his first show back after his injury in March.

After School Helper Needed - Term 3🐴

Our little riding school is looking for an after school worker for next term.

The vibe: You’ll be helping with basic horse care, feeding up, saddling horses for lessons, and tidying up. Nothing glamorous - lots of poo picking and water buckets. But if you love horses and don’t mind hard work, you’ll fit right in.

Who we’re after:
High school aged - 15+
Some horse experience. You don’t need to be a pro rider, but you need to be confident and safe around horses, including big horses!
Strong work ethic. Shows up on time, listens, gets stuff done without being asked 5 times
Available 2-3 afternoons per week after school

Perks: Fun workplace, heaps of pony time, and you’ll learn heaps about horse care from a proper horsemanship angle. Plus the kids think the “teen helpers” are cool 😊

This is perfect for a kid who wants to work with horses but isn’t ready for coaching yet.

Sometimes being a horse owner is tough…

Sadly, we lost one of our minis, Dancer, to a terrible paddock incident this week 😢😢

Affectionately known as Mini, she could get through any fence & was a constant presence at the arena and around the horses. Always trying to get in the shed, or hanging around for pats, I will miss having her as my little sidekick & I’m sure the kids will too 🤍🤍🤍🤍

I really do have the best job in the world…

Today poor Ava was sick & couldnt make it to work this afternoon.

We were booked solid from lunchtime & I was running flat out to stay on time.

Cue one of my amazing teenage riders, tacking up the 3 horses needed for a beginner lesson last up. Without asking, she helped all the kids adjust their stirrups & get mounted so that I didn’t run behind.

So grateful for Miss T, and for all her help today. And proud of our little family of riders, who come together just when we need it the most 💜

As if our weekend wasn’t busy enough, today we welcomed 2 new members to our donkey family, Daisy & Wyatt. They arrived late this afternoon so I haven’t had a chance to get any nice photos, but they are already super keen to make friends over the fence with our other donkeys.

Also, Patrick’s first night in his new big paddock with his mum. I’m a little bit sad, but it’s time to be a big boy!

Today was a first for us, and honestly… not many sane people would even try this 😂

Took our Saturday morning lesson kids straight into Gympie Show: horses everywhere, tractor pull going, showjumping running, loud speakers non-stop. Pure chaos.

And our Elemental ponies? Unbelievable. Calm, steady, looking after every kid like it was their job. Which it was.

For most of these kids, it was the first time they’ve ever ridden out of the arena. Into that noise, that energy, that real show environment. And they did it.

So proud of the kids for backing themselves, and of the ponies for being absolute legends. This is why we do what we do.

Thanks to all the mums & dads for giving up their Saturday morning, and our helpers Sapphire, Ava & Ruby for supporting the kids out in the ring!

Today was dental day at Elemental Equine! 🦷🐴

Our ponies had their annual check-up with our amazing dentist Bianca today.

Why we do it: Horses can get sharp hooks on their teeth that poke their cheeks + tongue — imagine trying to eat an apple with a mouth ulcer. A quick float = happy, comfy mouths = happy riders.

Fun fact: Horse teeth never stop growing! They erupt ∼2-3mm per year to make up for all the grinding down they do eating hay. That’s why yearly checks matter 💛

Huge thanks to our dentist Bianca for keeping our team happy and healthy. Our ponies say “cheeeeese”!
