The tennis club's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday the 11th of March at 6pm prior to fixtures starting at 6.30pm.

Hello members and friends

On 1st and 2nd August, we held our annual closed tournament. This year, in addition to the A and B grade competitions, we trialled mixed grade competitions for Men’s and Ladies Doubles with A graders and B graders playing together, We also included an over 65 mixed doubles event.

The winners and runners-up are noted below.

From all reports, it seems to have been a great success. Thanks to everyone who participated.

We are holding another social tennis get together for members and new players next Friday, 29 August. Please ask your friends if they would like to join us!

There will opportunities to socialise with other members and for new people to try either pickleball or tennis or both, under lights. There will be no charge to play, and we will be providing a $2.00 sausage sizzle with a $5.00 family sizzle. The bar will be open, and we would be pleased to see you from 5.30pm.

As mentioned in the last update, the Col Casswell tournament is being run in Ingham this year on Saturday 20 September. The competition will be based on two divisions with A and B grade teams. Teams are mixed and made up of 4 or 6 players playing other clubs from Ayr, Home Hill, Townsville, Ingham, and possibly others. It is a great day and worth making the trip to Ingham. At least one overnight would be essential. Play will run all day on Saturday, so 2 overnight stays would be sensible. If you are interested, please contact Richard Jordan (0427 569 944).
