We welcomed more visitors to our club to enjoy our sport. Some live as close as Townsville, QLD 🇦🇺 and as far away Nephi, UT! 🇺🇸 - a famous gliding location in the US.

CROSS COUNTRY FOOTPRINT INCREASING AT NQSC

Was great to have three of our 4 gliders out on cross-country on Saturday, with practising their skill set and stretching thier wings!

Silver Distances (50km sector - turns into a 126km return!) and a height gain of 1000m was all gained over the weekend.

Hot weather in the north at this time of the year is always welcomed for the airborne members, but a big thank you to our ground crew for launching us and having to stay grounded in the 36°C heat.

A great bunch of people, helping each other achieve thier goals. 🫶
