National Titles Results 🎉
Over the weekend our team went to Melbourne to fight for the Australian Amateur Boxing title. Before we get to results, we must say a massive thank you.
To every person who has bought a raffle ticket, sausage, donated money, and wished us luck; we all thank you immensely for your amazing support through the past few weeks of fundraising to get us to Melbourne. Your generosity has and will continue to be appreciated and acknowledged, we have been overwhelmed with the amount of support that we received from our community. Thank you very much🙏🏼😊
Now results!
After the three day tournament we came home with two Silver Medals and Four gold medals!!
On Thursday morning we all weighed in, with Riley getting a bout on Thursday night, he unfortunately didn't get the win. However we are all incredibly proud of Riley's efforts and for how he supported the rest of us during our fights. The amount of training and support you do for us is incredible and we are truly blessed to have you!
Friday night Jed had an elimination bout which he won with a TKO! Jed put in an amazing effort which took him through to Saturday night where he won Gold with yet another TKO. A very well earned gold medal from Jed!
Saturday night Will, Paige, Amber, and Jed fought.
Will came out at bout 7 putting in a whopping effort, leaving everything in the ring, which he earned a gold medal as well! Will won two gold medals, 1 for stepping up a weight division and another for his fight! Amazing!
Next up was Paige at bout 14. After three mornings of sitting in the sauna to make weight, she fought a very talented opponent, and didn't get the win. Paige won a silver medal for her fight and a gold medal for stepping up in age.
Straight up next at bout 15 was Amber! Putting in an amazing effort and showing great talent, Amber gave it her all, however she just came short of the Gold medal in a very close fight. She should be super proud of her efforts, and for bringing home a silver medal!
Queensland won the overall medal out of all the states which was amazing as well!
Last but certainly not least, we thank our amazing boxing Mummas: Yvette, Emma, and Allyson! These wonderful ladies have put in so much effort in our fundraising and we definitely wouldn't have made it without them, so thank you all so very much.❤️
To our family's who always follow us around the state and country to support us, you are all amazing, thank you.
Thanks to Riley and Mick for your countless hours spent training us and working to get us to be the best we can be.
Now it's time for a Christmas break. We hope everyone has a safe and fun Christmas. 😊
