Members of Gold City Bowls wish to pass sincere condolences to the Coleman family with the passing of Lila Coleman.
Lila was a past President of Services Memorial Ladies Bowls Club prior to the formation of Gold City Bowls. Lila was highly respected by all bowlers in Charters Towers and the NQ District.

Please be aware that there is some incorrect information on line which is totally inaccurate. Gold City Nowls Inc. is fully functional as a bowls club and in no way closed down. When the 2 Charters Towers clubs amalgamated in June 2018 Services Memorisl NC and Charters Towers BC ceased to exist from that date.
Gold City Bowls continues to operate.

We are sad to advise that a long time member and past President of Charters Towers BC, Wayne Lestone has passed away. On behalf of GCB members, condolences are conveyed to Wayne’s family.

Our Purple Pennants team had 3 wins in Bowen and 2 of those wins were against the winners and second placed teams. Well done fellas.

Time has come to revert back to 1.30pm start for Wednesday social bowls on 16/4. See you there.
GCB will also hold ANZAC Day triples commencing at 1.30pm sponsored by Titley and Co.

Change to our Wednesday regular games start time. It was agreed that on Wednesday 13/2 games would commence at 6.00pm and continue at that start time until the hot weather abates. Sticking to the same format of games of 10 ends with redraw for the second game.

Wednesday bowls scheduled for 8 January is cancelled allowing members attendance to Laurie Laidlow’s funeral and any activities to follow.

Very sad news of the passing of our life member Laurie Laidlow. His funeral will be held at St Paul’s Anglican Church at 10.00am on Wednesday 8 January.
Members and bowlers attending the funeral are requested to wear club uniform in his honour.
