Meet Nic

Hard worker, family man and a die hard chooks fan

We started training with the initial goal of a HYROX doubles event and ended up ticking a few extra boxes. He nailed his HYORX event with a time of 1:31:00 along with that he got his mojo back in the gym boosting his consistency and kicked for undesirable food habits along the way

Well done mate on your 90min HYORX time, top effort.

Feeling nostalgic, watch this

Every time we make changes to the gym big or small, we always get gentle reminders of what we used to do as coaches way back in the day.

I’ve been a coach for almost 9 years and it’s hard to believe in that time we’ve gone from spray painting a concrete floor to mark out a class, to having 2 gym fully functional PT centres, multiple coaches, survived 2 lockdowns and still don’t get bored or sick of being apart of it .

The Rule of Thirds

Roughly:

✅ 1/3 sessions feel awesome
😐 1/3 feel just okay
😮‍💨 1/3 feel average (or worse)

That’s normal.

One underwhelming session doesn’t mean anything — it happens to the literal best of us.
But if it’s happening all the time, that’s when problems start.

On the flip side — if you feel amazing every session… chances are your program isn’t challenging enough to drive real development.

Treat each session as its own.
Stay consistent.
Zoom out and look at trends over weeks, not single workouts.

Progress lives in the bigger picture.

2️⃣ Meal prep where it counts — work lunches, early breakfasts, busy days.
3️⃣ Block time for training — treat it like an important meeting.
4️⃣ Choose ONE goal to dominate — and go all in.
5️⃣ Aim for consistent, not perfect — results come from what you do most of the time.
