Your hamstrings aren’t tight because they’re short.
They’re tight because they’re working overtime to stabilise something deeper.
Or protect an irritated joint.. or as part of your postural adaptation overtime.. or chronic stress.
It's often not just a "tight muscle"
Sound familiar?

The question isn’t how much you can lift. It’s how much your body can control.
Functional strength starts with how well your joints are stabilised before load is added. When that foundation is missing, the body compensates… and compensation is where injuries happen.
If you’ve been exercising consistently but still dealing with recurring niggles, stiffness, or that feeling that something’s not quite right, it’s worth asking..
Is your FOUNDATION as solid as your FITNESS???

Building Strength Safely starts there.

We built Banksia Movement because we kept seeing the same thing in clinic — people doing all the right things but missing the foundation.
This is what we wish everyone knew earlier.

Most people spend years doing crunches and planks wondering why their back still hurts. The deep stabilising system — the one that actually protects your spine — works completely differently. It’s coordinated by your nervous system, activated by breath, and built on movement patterns your body already knows from birth.
When this system isn’t working well, everything else compensates. That’s where the stiffness, the niggles, and the persistent tension come from.
This is what we address in Foundation Reset.
