Due to popular demand we are opening up another PRE ORDER of WLMFC HOODIES!! We’re told they are the WARMEST hoodies ever!! We also still have plenty of CAPS for sale for $35 each.

All hoodies are pre order ONLY they are not available on hand to purchase so be sure to have your orders in so you don’t miss out again!!
Pre orders are open for 1 week until 12pm Friday the 5th of July 2024, payment in full MUST be made by this time to secure your order. Expected delivery date will be between 19/07/24 - 26/07/24. Please understand this is a typical estimated arrival time only & may be subject to variation in the event of unforeseen circumstances which cause delay & are out of the suppliers hands & ours ie: Postal delays due to weather events, accidents ect. Please be aware refunds will not be available for these Pre order items in the event the order is unavoidably delayed, you change your mind or you order the incorrect size. Wesley surely would have been drifting amoungst all of the activity over the weekend at the Wesley Leleca Memorial Fishing Competition & we’re sure he would have been very proud & happy to see so many participating in what he loved. We will not get to see Wesley grow up but we can & will always honour him & keep his memory alive as we continue to give back to the world just as he did through his organ & tissue donations & who he was as a beautiful & brave person. We choose to honour & remember Wesley through all of the things he was & all of the things he loved & that is why the Wesley Leleca Memorial Fishing Competition has been created. To remember, to honour & to give. Wesley loved everything & anything that was living & Wild. Plants, animals, insects the bush & the rivers. So whenever he found something living that he knew could grow whether it was an animal or a plant, whether it was in the bush or someone else’s yard he would bring it home to propagate or breed to create more living things. Obviously, he also very firmly believed anything that was wild & living was free & he could never be persuaded otherwise despite every intervention. So I called him WesWild because it seemed as if everything wild was a part of him. Wesley did not get to make the decision to be an organ & tissue donor, I had to make that decision for him. A decision I did not hesitate to make, because I knew my boy would have wanted every wild part of him to create more life & keep growing.

When Wesley left us he gave back to the world so that others could get to do all that he didn't do. All that he might have been and couldn't be. All the choices he didn't make & the things he didn’t achieve. All the time with him that we have lost, and all of the things he was will not be wasted. Because he gave back. To the lives that still need to be lived & the lives that haven't been lived yet. He has gifted life back to them, with the life that he did live. He gave back the breath that he breathed & he left the love that he was loved with, so he will never be gone. He will always be WesWild Forever.

So if you take anything away from our event please let it be the choice to DONATE LIFE.

We are proud to announce that along with individual monthly fundraising, merch sales & our weekend fishing competition the Wesley Leleca Memorial Fishing Competition has raised $10027.52 for our supported charities!!!

The following charities will each receive the following which includes funds some have already received from our fundraising activities.
Epilepsy QLD $3587.38
RFDS $2193.38
RMHC $1783.38
Precious Wings $1963.38
Charleville fishing & restocking club $500

The Charleville Fishing & restocking club also benefited from their bar & food profits so well done guys & thank you for providing those services for our event!!

Again a massive THANK YOU to all of our very appreciated & valued sponsors. Thanks to your generous support you helped us to GIVE BACK to others in our community & that is exactly what this competition is about & striving to instil in others. DONATE LIFE not only through Organ & tissue donation but GIVE whatever you can within your everyday lives to enable others to live better lives whilst remembering the greatest gifts cannot be bought & giving is a reward in its self. Give kids outlets to be active, give families quality time with each other, give others an escape into the outdoors to better their mental & physical health, just GIVE there is plenty to give that costs nothing so just do it!! DONATING LIFE is something we’re ALL capable of providing for others.

Whilst 98% of our participants who included local nominees as well as nominees from Chinchilla, Roma, Augathella & Toowoomba all walked away happy with arms full of prizes. The best thing of all about the Wesley Leleca Memorial Fishing Competition was that every single person who participated got to get out & enjoy a fantastic weekend doing many of the things Wesley loved to do. Fishing, yabbying, camping, being active outdoors, having fun, relaxing & spending real quality time with family & friends. That in itself was the biggest pleasure to provide & an amazing benefit to our whole community & especially every child that was involved!!

Another massive THANK YOU to all our nominees & also all of those within our community who contributed through purchasing raffle tickets & merchandise. Your involvement in our event & contributions helped us raise funds for our supported charities near equal to our sponsorships which provided your prizes. For that we are more than grateful & think you should all be very proud of your involvement in making this event successful!!

Now that everyone knows how much the Wesley Leleca Memorial has to offer both the community & charity we are confident our event will be bigger & better next year!! We are even hoping to extend our fishing area in the next competition to include both of Wesley’s much loved rivers the Ward & the Warrego to give everyone more chances & more accessibly to both be involved & to win!! In the years to come we will also be fundraising for one different charity exclusively each year to provide a much bigger benefit of funds.

While on the topic of our beautiful local rivers. We would also like to send out a big THANK YOU to our sponsors the Murweh Shire Council who did a brilliant job providing toilets, slashing & making the Ward river presentable & accessible for our participants over the weekend. Your efforts were very appreciated!!

Lastly thank you to the WesWild family, that is my partner & my children for all their raffle prize contributions & the very hard work they put in behind the scenes for me as well as understanding how time consuming everything was & the time with me they had to sacrifice. Without your support I would have been very overwhelmed so THANK YOU very much I love you all endlessly.

Now we take a short break & begin preparations for next year! WINNERS ARE GRINNERS & oh boy did we have a HUGE amount of winners!! In fact 98% of nominees walked away with a PRIZE!! Definitely an AWESOME presentation night had by all!! Full list of winners, prizes & funds raised will be posted later today. Thank you to all of our WONDERFUL sponsor whose contributions helped us provide all the amazing prizes for our participants which enabled us to host a beautiful & fun event for our local community to participate in!! A HUGE thank you to our nominees as well whose participation has helped us raise funds for all our vital & important charities!!
