Charlestown Junior Football Club CJFC is a community club focused on developing local players, promoting skill, fun & respect.

Charlestown Junior Football Club is a community football club developing local players in a supportive, fun, safe and community-minded environment encouraging kids of all abilities and ages to join. Our club relies completely on volunteers from our executive committee, our director of football, coaches and managers of teams, canteen management team and more. During each football season our Directo

r of Football and our coaches inevitably identify talented players. We support their development and encourage them to pursue NPL team placements. It’s a pleasure to watch our players go on to develop and enjoy their football careers after beginning their journey at our community club. We have registered teams ranging from juniors (6-18’s) through to our seniors in All Age Men & Women and Over 35’s. Charlestown Junior Football Club resides at Charlestown Oval (Hammer’s Stadium) located on Ferris Street, Charlestown.

Due to the persistent rainfall and anticipated further rain this afternoon, coupled with scheduled games for tomorrow night and the weekend, we have decided to close the field for training on Tuesday, 2 June. The ground remains soft, and recent rainfall hasn’t helped the situation.

Good news? Our Under‑11s have handled it like absolute champions and have now officially transitioned into the National Arm‑Floaty Water Polo League! 🤽‍♂️😂👏

When wet weather hits, Squadi will update by:
• 7:30am for weekend matches
• 4:00pm for weekday matches

If you don’t see a POSTPONED message by those times, please assume your match is ON and head to your ground as normal.

🙏 Please do not message committee members — we don’t receive information about other grounds and can only rely on Squadi like everyone else.

Charlestown Oval is CLOSED for ALL training and games from this afternoon until at least Friday this week.

Decision is pending for this weekend’s home games however the forecast has us currently 99% off. Next assessment will be made Friday @ 3pm. Please monitor Squadi closely for all wet weather notifications and any re-scheduling or re-location of games.
