We totally undrstand that certain days and times aren't suitable for all - work, home, family and self first! We are happy to discuss 1 on 1 lessons mirroring what a class(es) have done that week so you don't miss out!
Each course is 4 weeks long.
Every week, students will learn some new moves, techniques, expressions as well as the history of that Burlesque/performance genre, and those movements will be joined together to create a professional routine!
~Vintage: a 4 week course encompassing the original showgirl mystique. Think boas, gloves, robes, panel skirts. Get ready to pay homage to queens of the golden age.
~Neo: encompassing traditional Burlesque moves with new age moves, s*xuality and attitude to modern music from 90s pop to heavy metal. Get your str1pper on!
~Chair: For absolute beginners! No crazy flips, we promise.
This class is designed for anyone who loves to dance AND sit! (YAY!) Sensual sits, erotic gestures, chair to standing or floor combos/transitions - depending on your comfort level!
~Create your own routine: Each week, as a group, we will discuss and brainstorm act creation from music selection (we highly recommend coming with a song, if possible), costume design, effective moves, mood, designing tech and marketing, followed by assisting each other to put a routine together for each person.
Each week, from week 2, each student will show what they have worked on the previous week.
~Fans: We have space for several 1 on 1 or a 2 student class (bigger classes coming). Over 4 weeks, participant(s) will establish hand and arm strength/conditioning, beginner combos, transitions, conceal and reveal as well as fan care, reputable creators, how to size and choose suitable fans.
**Remember, all moves and tailored to suit every individuals needs.**
Each class is $140, bbbuuuuuuuttttttt enrol in:
2 classes = $120 per class = $240
3 classes = $100 per class = $300
4 classes = $80 per class = $320
~1 on 1 tuition available - please DM myself or Beth Shannessy to discuss suitable times. Each session is 45 minutes in length. $75 per session, or grab a 4 pack for $250. 1 on 1 classes can be weekly, bi weekly, fortnightly, etc ....
~Mentorship program: over 3 months you will be under the wing of Vudu Doll and several other DHC well-established performers of Burlesque, Illusion, Sideshow, MC, producing, sound and lighting.
Participants will be detail guided in act creation, costuming - creating your own, recommended stores, embellishments, marketing, music slicing, detailed tech notes, applications, cold canvasing as well as making contacts in the industry.
This course can be predominantly done online through emailed theory, zoom check ins but also in person meet ups for discussions, act creations, costume assistance, etc ....
Mentor program entitles participants to a guaranteed spot in a Doll Haus Cabaret show.

Studio Policies
Attendance: Students are asked to arrive on time to ensure a full 60 minute session for all participants. Please contact DHAB or your instructor if you are unable to attend - we worry when you're not there!! Don't worry if you need to miss a class, each week's choreo will be uploaded to a private group for students to follow.
Cancellation: In the event of a class cancellation by the studio (due to illness, injury, etc..), every effort will be made to notify students well in advance. Makeup classes will be provided for canceled sessions.
Dress Code: Please arrive and depart in everyday clothes for the comfort of our neighbours. During class time, wear whatever makes you feel comfortable! - Active wear, a costume, lingerie, pjs, etc - as long as your ni***es and ge****ls are covered (as NSW standards require)
Behavior: Respectful and supportive behavior towards fellow students, instructors, and studio staff is expected at all times. Any disruptive behavior may result in removal from the class.
Health and Safety: The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Please inform your instructor of any injuries or health conditions that may affect your participation in class. All information remains private and only acquired in case of emergency.
Payments: Payments are to be made by OSKO or PAYPAL. Payment plans are more than welcome but must be pre-arranged - don't be afraid to ask!!! Yes, you may add 2025 classes to your existing 2024 payment plans. Deposit requested to ensure your place. Places are strictly limited to ensure the comfort of all. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, missed classes.... IF you have the Afterpay card (where you can use it anywhere) we are also able to process this payment method now - must be done in person.
Location: After much deliberation, we have decided to continue using Vudu's home studio as our new studio/base. Mainly so classes can be made available on week days (as no minors around the premises) and this also allows us to keep fees lower than if we were to hire a studio. We understand this may not be suitable for some and understand if you do not want to attend.
