Active Kids Martial Arts is a Family focused martial arts program initiative. The aim of the program is provide benefit and opportunity to all groups of the community and create a level playing field for participation especially in the next generation. The program extends the Play For Life methodology within the martial arts disciplined framework to create challenges for children and families alike which promote physical fitness, confidence, respect, determination, community spirit and personal development. All this while providing a safe, fun and engaging environment. The program was originally created as a pathway program to support Hunter Schools and Students who participated in the Australian Sports Commission's Active After Schools Communities Coaching program in the of Martial Arts. Powered by the Australian Hwarangdo Academy , the programs childrens and community support focus has since grown to provide new an exciting opportunities in the sport of Taekwondo and art of Hwa Rang Do.
