Thank you so much for another beautiful week of Pilates.

I’m so grateful for your support and for supporting my small business especially during these difficult times.

Prioritising your health and well being is so important because without your health, life will be even more difficult to manage.

This year even though my rent has gone up, I have made the decision to keep my 10 and 20 packs at the same rate as a thank you to all my valued and loyal clients.

The best thing I love about running this business is the variety that Pilates offers

✨Tower & Cadillac

✨Reformer

✨Mat

✨Wunda Chair

✨Barrels

✨Jumpboard

✨small apparatus

You can join in a group class or if you prefer a private One on One session is also available to you.

If the class numbers are low I will not cancel the session and it may turn into a Tower & Reformer class or maybe we will finish the class off on the Large Barrel, Classical Reformer and Wunda Chair.

I love showing you all the different sides of Pilates!

Thank you again and have a wonderful weekend.

Yes Winter is here!

It’s also the best time to start something new or to continue practicing and improving your Pilates!

It’s the best feeling after you finished your class knowing that your body moved in all directions and is feeling stretched, revitalised and ready for anything!

Book in and see you soon.

If you have been following for a while but are still feeling anxious, Thursday mornings are generally a quieter time so the classes can run a little slower for you.

And if that is still not suitable for you, One on One classes are also available by emailing through

[email protected]

At the start of every class I will always ask how is everyone feeling and how they felt after last class.

It’s so important to make sure that after each class and the next couple of days to check in with how your body is feeling.

This feedback could be an indicator that something may need addressing. For example maybe the neck flexors are taking over in abdominal curls and not the targeted areas. We can work together to overcome this and focus on the desired outcome.

In most cases I can pick this up immediately and adjust as necessary however sometimes this may be harder to see.

For years I used to strain through my neck in a large group class and it was never picked up and in fact it was encouraged to push past the strain whilst my technique was never corrected even though I was always saying my neck hurt!

This is one of the reasons I started my own business so I could help everyone find their best alignment and technique to achieve the best outcome ❤️

I’m here to help you become strong and pain free as much as possible with Pilates.

2 group classes a week is the recommended minimum to achieve noticeable results.

One on One sessions are also available!

Looking forward to another week of Pilates with you all.

I love having future goals

As a certified Pilates Instructor I want to keep learning and because I love Pilates and teaching so much so you can all feel the countless benefits- physically and mentally

This is my current to do list

✨completing my 3rd generation Classical Training - lineage to Romana ( so cool to have that direct link to Joseph Pilates)

✨Diploma of Pilates - bringing the classical together with latest of modern science.

This is what I love to do. And I love both worlds of Pilates.

The tradition of the past with hard work and discipline with science of the modern world.

Can’t wait to share everything in class with you all!

✨✨✨

Sorry but I’m not choosing one style of Pilates.

Pilates is Classical

&

Pilates is Contemporary

and I teach both and I love both.

Some clients prefer one style over the other and that’s exactly why there are different styles so it can cater to more people.

If you love Pilates and want to connect with and move your body, all sizes and fitness levels are welcome here .

I’m here for you.

There is so much judgement and restriction out in the Pilates world right now and I respectfully withdraw from the madness out there.

My job is to be the best teacher I can be so I can help you all with Pilates. It’s not my job to argue about Pilates and which method is the best. To be honest so many highly respected Pilates teachers out there that I follow and used to looked up to are really starting to give me the ick.

And it’s not a path I want to follow. I want to feel good and help you all feel good ✨

Try both styles and see what with you like and what works for you. That’s it.

Have you tried Classical and Contemporary what do you think?

I have lots of clients coming to me saying I have been doing Pilates with my physio for years.

That’s fantastic however your session with your physio might not be Pilates but a form of rehab exercises on Pilates equipment.

This is a great way of recovering from an injury.

So when you come to a class here at the Studio, you may be confused because it looks different from your physio sessions and it should.

At first most of you have never heard of

✨footwork
✨the Hundred
✨short spine massage
✨short box series

the list could go on and on …..

So once you have worked through your issues with your physio, that’s when group classes or a private session with a Pilates teacher comes into the picture.

This is where we use the Pilates principles and use Pilates exercises to build up your strength, core control, flexibility and stamina.

Taking your time at the start until that stamina builds.

Of course we offer modifications as necessary but generally we are looking to build strength, mobility and endurance with each session!

Hope that this makes sense 😊

So sorry but unfortunately due to illness I have decided to take the rest of the week off to recover.

Hopefully by Monday I will be fit and healthy again to take all classes and my private clients.

My apologies again for any inconvenience and please reach out to me if your pack is impacted so I can sort this out for you.

Remember your Classical Mat sequence and have a practice at home.

✨Stand to sit
✨the Hundred
✨the Roll Up
✨Single leg circles
✨Rolling like a Ball
✨Single leg stretch
✨Double leg stretch
✨Spine Stretch Forward

and add in Seal for fun 🤩

See you all next week for Pilates- I can’t wait to see you again.
