"My dear body, I am so sorry that I have been putting you aside and not nourishing you properly."
You could tell this to yourself every time you reach for a toast or cracker just to make your life easier. Maybe you think you have no time and money to prep "fancy" healthy meals?
If you have been thinking healthy & balanced meals mean more work, money and only eating salads, you are wrong.
Oh yes, you will need to work a little bit harder than taking toast out of the toaster, but your body will thank you and not to mention you as a person will be happier.
Have you heard the phrase we become what we eat?
Start using fresh produce mainly, and cut your vegetables after buying them so it is ready to eat. You will be surprised how many times you can eat carrot sticks over bread, and plus kids are watching you, so there is a win-win.
I bet they will ask for what you have because they see you 👀
Minimise processed food. In my opinion it is always good to know what you have in your meal anyway.
