Head Coach Opportunity – Northern League One
Cessnock City Hornets FC is inviting expressions of interest for the position of Northern League One Head Coach.
We are seeking an ambitious and committed coach capable of leading our senior men’s program and building a positive, competitive football environment. The successful applicant will work closely with the club’s football department and coaching staff to support player development and the long-term direction of the Hornets.
Applications should include a coaching résumé, relevant qualifications and a brief statement addressing the criteria below.
Key requirements
- Hold, or be actively working towards, a Football Australia/AFC B License coaching qualification
- Previous experience coaching senior football
- Strong leadership, communication and player-management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver structured, high-quality training sessions
- Availability to attend scheduled training sessions and match days
- Capacity to recruit, retain and develop players within the club’s agreed budget and football strategy
- Willingness to collaborate with reserve-grade and youth coaching staff
- Commitment to creating a professional, accountable and inclusive team culture
- Ability to represent Cessnock City Hornets positively with supporters, sponsors and the wider community
Highly regarded
- Previous experience coaching within Northern NSW Football competitions
- Experience in a Northern League One or NPL senior environment
- A demonstrated record of player recruitment and development
- Experience supporting pathways between youth and senior football
