Before we dive deep into getting you to your optimal health you need to prioritising your life you have 2 categories that you can divided your life into they are your glass balls and your Rubber (bouncy) balls

Glass balls
These are the most important things to you
Things if you drop will break
For Example:
Your family
Your Health (both physical and mental)
Your relationships (with friends and partner)

You list of glass balls should be small

Bouncy balls are thing that if you drop will keep bouncing until you are ready to get back to them
For Example
Anything related to work
House work, the dishes will always be there, someone can always help with cleaning the house
Your extended family
Shopping
Social Media

Your rubber balls list can be bigger

Health and fitness is not a one size fits all

We spend so much time comparing ourselves to others on social media (myself include 🙋🏼‍♀️) and thinking that we have to be a certain clothing size or have a certain number on the scales but in reality that's a load of 💩.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What is healthy for ME, may not be healthy for YOU. And that's okay 👌🏼

There are so many different factors that go into your health:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💤 How much sleep you get per night?
✏️ What work do you do?
❌ What are your stress levels like?
🥦 Do you have a balanced & healthy diet?
🧘🏼‍♂️Do you move or workout regularly?
🍷 Do you smoke or drink alcohol?
🤕 Do you have health concerns or injuries?
💊 Are you genetically predisposed to health issues?
💡Do you struggle with mental health?
🍴Do you have a history with eating disorders?
🤱🏼Are you caring for others?
🤰🏼Are you or do you want to get pregnant in the future?
💁🏼‍♀️Are you pre menopausal, menopausal or post menopausal?

I could go on... BELIEVE ME!

As a mum of 3 I understand everything that comes with being a mum. Mum life is hard, I've yet to find an easy age and from all reports it doesn’t get any easier

This is a non-negotiable, sleep is not a luxury, sleep is a necessity. Without sleep your body cannot repair cells, detoxify itself or function well. Without long term sleep you're more susceptible to stress and disease and also fat gain.

Having a night time routine is a great first step in getting a good night's sleep.

Your emotional wellness affects all your biochemical pathways and influences how you feel about your life and your place within it. Without a strong foundational emotional balance, your ability to manage stressful situations will be compromised. how you deal with pressure, how you process sad or anxious situations depends on your emotional wellbeing. This complex area of wellness can often be neglected by mainstream medicine, as it is common for this modality to treat the symptom rather than addressing the deeper cause. Both emotional and physical wellness are connected via the brain and nervous system. Bucket of water full = able to put out fires, bucket of water empty = stressful situations magnified (we have all been there)

There are many different ways to work on our emotional and mental wellbeing, this is something we work on as part of your Personal Training and Online Coaching.

Functional Movement means the ability to retain independence well into your older years, as you avoid bone degeneration, stiffness and inflammatory problems that can impede your range of motion.

Humans are designed to walk, run, squat, lunge, push and pull things and rotate the spine. Maintaining body functions involves your muscles, bones, the nervous system and brain working together, posture, your basal metabolic rate (the energy you expend when resting) and your ability to maintain a healthy body weight also all come into play, if these are all in perfect balance and these are all working together to allow pain-free movement.

Working out is a great way to work on our Functional movement in a planned and controlled environment, it allows a space for adding weight is a healthy and safe way.

Get the balance of movement right and you will thrive, get it wrong and the domino effect activates. Stress pathways that interfere with the way your body functions in everyday life.

When talking about nourishment we are talking on a cellular level. The food you eat and how well your body digests it. The food you're eating may be healthy but is it good for you specifically? Maybe not. Heritage can influence intolerances, for example many First Nations people have difficulty processing sugar (in all forms) and have a higher risk of diabetes, because their diet for thousands of years was so incredibly pure. Also many commercially grown foods may contain or have traces of toxins and chemicals which may impede or impact your ability to nourish the 50 trillion cells in your body.

This is why I suggest starting simple with our food going to organic and fresh food.

The Four Pillars of Wellbeing represent four areas that make up the overall health and happiness of a person. In this context, we are discussing how these pillars space the environment and create a foundation for your wellness. All four pillars are important and if one is deficient, the rest can also suffer.

The four Pillars are:
Nourishment
Movement

If you dont make time for your wellness, you’ll be forced to make time for your illness
Be proud, be brave, take selfies, embrace your life and pay attention to those who label your actions. They are not your people, you are not embarrassing anyone and you dont need to tone it down. There is no room in your life for judgement and you do not need to make room for it. If you love to sing, sing, if you love to dance, dance. If you feel like you need to change because of others opinions, tell them to F off.
