CYPRESS LAKES OFFERS LIMITED $500 WOMEN MEMBERSHIPS.
In an effort to boost female participation, Cypress Lakes has introduced a $500 Jade membership. Open to new members only, it allows women to compete in the Tuesday competition as well as access discounts in the pro shop, (10%), Bistro and Bar (20%) weekday discounts at Elysia Spa and Wellness Centre (15%) and unlimited use of the gym, swimming pool and tennis facilities.
Jade members are not eligible to win Honour Board events.

DENMAN DUO PREVAIL IN TIGHT BATTLE
Denman’s Kyle Blinko and Josh Whittaker have won the HRDGA 2 man Ambrose by a shot over four other pairings at Muswellbrook.
Cypress Lakes’ Max Wallington and Scone’s Mac Dawson were declared runners up with 64 on a countback over Matt O’Donnell and Jake Teague (Scone) Harry Atkinson and Bowen Small (Kurri/Maitland) and Kurri’s two J’s, Josh Stig and Josh Udbinac.
In Division Two, Stephen Stig (Kurri) and Blake Tamburrini (Maitland ) fired off a round of 72 to defeat the Denman pairing of Cameron and Thomas McLean by two.

JAMIESON AND STIG NEW LEADERS OF WATSON ORDERS OF MERIT
Scone's Leah Jamieson has shot to the lead in the Melita Watson Order of Merit by a slender 5 points over defending title holder Lyn Banks.
The Scone duo have had successful campaigns at the District Champs and Sand greens tournament to jump out to a 200 point lead over their nearest rival, Kurri's Renee Bean Wyper.
But in the Mens Mick Watson Order of Merit, it is Wyper's club mate, Josh Stig who now leads by 50 points over Cypress Lakes' Max Wallington.

STIG AND BEAN WYPER CROWNED SANDGREENS CHAMPIONS
Kurri duo Josh Stig and Renee Bean Wyper have won the 2026 District Sandgreens Championships played at Murrurrundi on Sunday.
For Stig it erased the agonising defeat by countback last year, while for Bean Wyper, it was her first time on sand greens and her first solo district title.

MENS SINGLETON OPEN WEEKEND MAY 30/31
Some fun golf is to be had at Singleton Golf Club's Open Weekend on May 30/31.
Saturday hosts the Medley Ambrose Pairs and Sunday hosts the Individual event with scratch and nett awarded in three divisions A,B and C.

REID AND JONES WIN DISTRICT FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Vintage's Mel Reid and Jen Jones have won both the Open and Closed District Foursomes Championship by one shot at Cypress Lakes today.
The pair fired off a 16 over 88 to defeat the pairings of Dom Kelly and Katrina Skinner Oyston and Helen Haynes and Virginia Younger who both recorded 89 off the stick
In the Nett, it was local duo Helen Vandenbruggen and Deb Scriven who took out the Open and Closed Championship shooting a nett 70.5. It was an outstanding effort as they were the only pairing out of 44, to shoot below their combined handicap.
In Division Two it was another Vintage Golf Club win with Helen Topp and Tracey Henderson taking out both the scratch and nett title.

The Vintage's Liz White has won her fifth District Title today by two shots over Scone's Lyn Banks. In Division Two, Shortland Waters' Jewel See won the Open section, while Hunter Valley's Wendy Wong used her home course to advantage taking out the Closed Section. BLINCO AND DANIELS LEAD WATSON ORDERS OF MERIT
Denman's Kyle Blinco and Branxton's Leanne Daniels lead the Mick and Melita Watson Orders of Merit early after three rounds.
Blinco, on 400 points, has a 40 point lead over Kurri's Josh Stig with Scone's Mac Dawson a further 40 points behind.
While in the women's OOM, it couldn't get much closer. Daniels on 520, holds a slender 10 point edge over Muswellbrook's Vonnie Palmer while Scone's Leah Jamieson sits on 460. However the lead could change dramatically with 750 points on offer for the winners of next week's Women's District Singles and Foursomes Championships to be held at Hunter Valley and Cypress Lakes Golf Clubs.
