Protecting yourself takes a certain set of skills but protecting your child extends them. Greater awareness plus good communication with the child.
A great physical and mental exercise that needs to be reviewed regularly.

Many will relate to this…

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but:

it’s OK to be a Taekwondo hobbyist.

Not everyone needs to compete.
Not everyone needs to teach.
Not everyone needs to train like they’re preparing for a world championship.

Some of us train because we enjoy the practice.
Some because it keeps us moving.
Some because it helps us think, breathe, and reset after a long day.

Taekwondo has always had room for people who walk the path quietly.

If you train once or twice a week and still care about Taekwondo, and about becoming a better version of yourself today than you were yesterday, that is more than enough.

Although many sports may cancel training today due to the expected high temperature, as martial artist we adapt to the conditions thrown at us. Thus we will still be training at our Caulfield North Dojang this evening.
Adapting may include laying on the floor and calling it “ground work”. 😉😁
