Some clubs are full of life.
Others… are still wondering where everyone went.

It’s not the lawns.
It’s not the game.

It’s the experience people walk into.

Croquet Talk is showing what’s possible —
through image, through conversation, through energy.

And yes… I’ve been asked to help share and support clubs who want more of this.

I’ll do my best with every club that reaches out —
but this is about quality, not quantity.

If your club is ready to be seen differently…

Turns out… people prefer laughter over lawn maintenance meetings. 😄

There’s something interesting happening across many croquet clubs.
It’s not that people aren’t willing to try the game…
in fact, many do.

But turning that first visit into something that lasts —
that’s where things become a little more challenging.

Most clubs aren’t just looking for new members.
They’re looking for people who will come back, settle in, and become part of the club over time.

And often, the difference isn’t found in big changes.

It’s in the small moments:
how someone is welcomed…
what happens after their first game…
whether they feel like they belong sooner rather than later.

The clubs that are growing seem to understand this.

Not perfectly — but consistently.

Croquet has so much to offer.
Strategy, connection, enjoyment, and a game that can be played for life.

The opportunity isn’t just getting people through the gate…

It’s giving them a reason to walk back through it again.

I Would genuinely love to hear your thoughts.
If you feel comfortable sharing your club’s experience,
it might just help another club see things a little differently from there current modus operandi.

Croquet Curiosity #2

Did you know that croquet once appeared in the Olympic Games?

Croquet was included in the 1900 Paris Olympics, making it one of the earliest Olympic sports.

But here’s the surprising part…

Only one spectator is recorded as having attended.

Yes… one.

Despite that, croquet holds a unique place in history as one of the first Olympic sports ever played.

In many ways, croquet was ahead of its time —
and many would say this is still the case.

A quiet reminder that even the biggest sporting stages once had humble beginnings.

Should croquet be in the Olympics again?

As I have previously stated, Croquet Talk is currently achieving in excess of 70000 views every 28 days and many of those viewers are people who have an interest in Croquet but are not yet Members of any particular Croquet Club and this has me thinking why?

This got me thinking about what my thoughts were, before I tried Croquet?

We’ve all heard something about Croquet?

Be honest — what did YOU hear before you ever picked up a mallet?

Too slow? Too expensive? Not competitive?, Boring?
Let’s hear it and the more the Merrier! 👇

Also PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE this post because if it helps any club attract more members ( whether you follow croquet talk or not) it is worth all of the work in creating it! 😃 Stefan Croquet Talk
