Congratulations to 2 of our competitive swimmers, Jemma and Miya! After competing at Bendigo Hawks short course meet, here are their results:

Miya 11-12 yrs
50 backstroke: 10th
50 Freestyle: 13th

Jemma 15 and over
50 Butterfly: 3rd
50 Breaststroke: 3rd
100 IM: 6th
50 Back: 2nd
50 Free: 3rd

Great effort by the girls, They both swam beautifully with Miyas first competition having about 20 swimmers in her age group! Awesome job!

We're back!

The outdoor pool in Castlemaine has re-opened for the summer season and we are training Monday to Thursday from 6 to 7pm.

Swimmers of all skill levels are welcome to join in club training as recreational or competitive swimmers.

Please come and have a chat to one of our members at the pool if you're interested in joining in, or check out our website at www.castlemaineswimmingclub.org for more info.

First sumer training session for the season tonight!
We are very excited that the Castlemaine Outdoor pool is once again open, and the Castlemaine Swimming Club will commence training for the summer season tonight at 6pm!
We look forward to seeing our regular swimmers back in the pool, and also welcome any new swimmer who may be interested in joining the club, you are most welcome to make enquiries at the pool during training over the coming weeks, or via our fantastic brand new website at www.castlemaineswimmingclub.org

Congratulations to Andreas, who swam at the Country Junior District Championships in Melbourne last Saturday. Andreas swam in seven races, and achieved five personal best times on the day!

Congratulations to Andreas and Jemma who swam for the Castlemaine Swimming Club last Sunday, November 3rd. Both swimmers achieved several medals and made new personal best times - well done!

Well done Jemma on some great swimming at Victorian Open Shortcourse Championships last weekend. Jemma won 2 silvers in 50 metre butterfly and 50 metre backstroke. She also swam 4th in 50m freestyle with a 1sec PB, backstroke was a .70 PB.
Jemma swam 6-7 times each day with the heats in morning and finals at night. Well done on a big 2 days!

Congratulations to Jemma! Over the short course winter season Jemma has racked up an impressive collection of prizes, and achieved qualifying times in all strokes for the Victorian Country Championships, State Age and State Open championships and qualifying times for the National Championships in freestyle, butterfly and backstroke.
