Dare ye not call it a shed. This is The Pavilion — built mid-last-century as an agricultural pavilion, and first used by the Table Tennis Club in the late 1960s, sharing the space with the Castlemaine Fire Brigade who used it for training drills. Their carts had to be moved out of the way before play could commence. It was modernised in 1981 with new lining and fluoro lights, and has been gloriously, stubbornly unchanged ever since. Long may it stand.
