Hello everyone,
Firstly, I know some of have been wondering what happened to Big Future Cricket Academy and I apologise for keeping you in the dark for so long. I’m writing this email to let you know about the future operation of Big Future Cricket Academy and to tell you that I have started a new medium to make a difference to your children.
When I started coaching cricket, I found out very quickly that children really do want to chase their dreams.
Bit by bit, failure by failure, naysayer by naysayer and doubt by doubt, their belief that they can fulfil their dreams chips away until, one day, they give up. And if you look closely, you can see the moment it happens because the twinkle in their eye disappears. Then there are those kids who are on the opposite side of the spectrum who put so much pressure on themselves to achieve, that they lose any sense of happiness, fun or connection and what they love doing becomes a stressful chore.
As a teacher and then a cricket coach, I saw it all the time.
My favourite thing to do is to reignite THAT passion and to get kids inspired to learn, to grow and to overcome their fears so they can go for what is important to them. And when that spark is back, that is when the brilliant results and the big smiles come pouring back in.
If your child has participated in one of our programs you would have experienced this shift, it’s the magic behind what made our programs so successful and why your child was able to produce the brilliant results that they could. It’s also why you noticed your child getting happier and more confident.
I realised that being a cricket coach wasn’t what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and that while I was focussed on cricket I could only reach a small segment of children across the globe.
As a result I have decided to shut down Big Future Cricket Academy and I have launched Shift Education
At Shift Education I use my same methodology to unlock and inspire growth in your children but do so through online courses and Zoom based programs. At SHIFT Education we offer tutoring, homework help, mentoring programs, home schooling help and programs for children with disabilities.
The reason it took so long to write this is because I was sad to say goodbye.
So if this is goodbye, then thank you for trusting me with your children and if it’s not goodbye, I look forward to serving you and your children through SHIFT Education.
