Massive shout-out to everyone who showed up for Game Day. Incredible vibes from start to finish.

Game Day exists to bring everyone together. To pull everyone out of their individual sessions and into something shared. Same room, same challenge, same energy, all of you in it together.

The format brought together strength, bodyweight mastery, and long form conditioning. But honestly, the workout was almost secondary. What stood out was watching this community show up for each other. Cheering each other on. Pushing each other through the hard parts. Celebrating each other at the end.

That’s the whole point. Not the workout. The people.
This is what thirteen years of building RFT has actually been about. Not just training bodies. Building a community that genuinely shows up for one another.

Thank you for bringing that energy. It’s why this place feels different.

5kg down… but that’s only part of the story. 👏

Over the past 6 months, Camille has achieved an incredible result by focusing on the things that actually matter.

✅ Prioritising nutritious food.
🏋️‍♀️ Strength training 3 times each week.
🚶‍♀️ Increasing her daily walking.

No fad diets.
No endless cardio.
No shortcuts.

Just consistency.

One thing we’ve introduced for the next phase of her journey is setting SMART goals.

Instead of saying, “I just want to lose more weight,” we’ve created a clear plan with measurable habits and a timeline.

Because goals without a plan are just wishes.

Three months ago this was me.

Weight spiked almost seven kilos. No idea why. I was training. I was eating well. Or so I thought.

Turns out I was doing what almost everyone does. Misreporting my food by nearly half and significantly overestimating how much I was burning.

Research shows people underreport their food intake by an average of 47% while overreporting their physical activity by 51%.

Not because they’re dishonest. Because we distort and we delete.

We forget the handful of food we picked off our kid’s plate. The snacks eaten in the car sitting in traffic. The muffin added to the caramel latte. None of it feels like a meal. But it all counts.

And on the exercise side, most of us are moving less than we think. Technology has made us more sedentary. We sit more. We walk less. We overestimate every session.

Your total volume of calories determines whether you gain weight or lose it. Every time. Without exception.

The problem has never been your metabolism. It has never been your training.

It is the gap.

The gap between what you think you’re eating and what you’re actually eating. The gap between how much movement you think you’re doing and how much you’re actually doing.

Close those gaps and the results follow.

Four to six weeks. Track honestly. Slight deficit. Hit your protein.

Lift your weights.

Only 22.6% of adults aged 45 to 64 meet the basic physical activity guidelines.

Not because they don’t know they should move. Because they’re waiting to feel ready.

Here’s what waiting costs you.

After 45, you lose 3 to 8% of muscle mass every decade if you’re sedentary. Your bone density drops. Your metabolism slows. Your balance declines. Your risk of falls, fractures, and chronic disease climbs every year you don’t train.

Nearly 1 in 4 adults aren’t getting the recommended two days of strength training per week. And research shows only 1 in 10 adults actually know how much exercise they need to stave off disease.

The information was never the problem. The waiting is.

The people who train consistently in their 40’s, 50s and 60s don’t look back and wish they’d waited longer. They wish they’d started sooner.

Stronger bones. More muscle. Better energy. Less pain. More independence.
