We are so lucky in Australia to have access to high level horse breeding value assessors. This year's assessor for the HHSA assessment and registration tour is Anna von Holten-Jungheit.

Anna von Holten-Jungheit has been a qualified breeding judge for many years on behalf of the Hannoveraner Verband, having examined many Mare Performance Tests, mare shows, and for the Studbook Registry. She is particularly interested and trained in the area of linear description, which gives breeders a more complete picture of their horses.

Horses have been a part of her life since Anna Jungheit was born. She was raised on a farm in lower Saxony in the vicinity of Hamburg, Germany, where her parents bred cattle and Hanoverian horses. She learned to break and train young horses and spent many years showing them. Today, she and her husband live on a small farm with their eight Hanoverians, including one broodmare.

For many years, she participated in both dressage and jumping shows, and was successful in dressage up to Category M. In addition, she is a qualified teacher and coach and holds the trainer A permit (competitive sport). In 2000, she started her career as a judge at dressage and jumping shows up to Category S including competitions for young horses and riding horse checks. She is also licensed to train candidates for show judges.

Quite a resumé! Really looking forward to meeting Anna.

If you have a stallion that requires pre-licensing or licensing, this can be accomplished during the tour. When approved, your stallion is Hanoverian approved around the world.

It is time to register your foals! What should you do now?

➡️ Check if your mare is Hanoverian or Rhineland Registered and Approved, or possibly eligible. If you are not sure, please send the page a message.
➡️ Fill in our Foal Registration form Online here: https://www.hanoverian.org.au/forms/application-for-foal-registration/
➡️ You will need to become a member of HHSA, make sure your foal is microchipped and have your service certificate from the semen provider, and AI Form from your vet.

BENEFITS FOR REGISTERING HANOVERIAN

➡️ Your foal will now be DNA typed to prove parentage, have a WFBSH accepted passport that proves age, breeding, and identification. Passports will also be needed if your foal is ever to compete internationally. All of these qualities add to the value of your foal or horse.
➡️ As a HHSA Member, you are also entitled to a 20% discount on frozen semen from the Celle stud through International Horse Breeders Pty Ltd to use on your Hanoverian or Rhineland mares. This is huge savings!
➡️ The HHSA is the only daughter society of a European studbook in Australia, meaning we run under the same rules and prestige as our German counterpart the Hannoveraner Verband.
➡️ Entry into our National Tour is INCLUDED in the foal registration fees for most locations - no extra fees for having your foal assessed by an Internationally trained assessor. This is not necessary for registration, but is a huge added bonus!
