Tonys bucket list item this time, took us all the way to 💚💛The Man From Snowy River Festival in Corryong Victoria.
The Stockmans Challenge event is extraordinary. Unlike any other event, I have ever seen in my life.
These are the real deal horse people who humble and inspire at the same time .

The festival Is huge, the campers were there by the thousands. The Bush vibe is alive in Corryong.💛💚

🟢💛Thank you to the Far North Coast Branch Committee of the Australian Stock Horse Society for the opportunity to judge over the weekend. Tony and I appreciated being part of such strong competition and hope we did so with fairness and respect to all competitors.

We are really grateful to have been invited back—this event has been part of our family since 2004, so returning this year in a different role was quite special.💛🟢

We don’t sell many of our horses, mostly because with five in the family, all competing there was usually someone who needed them. So when we do let one go, it’s a decision we take seriously.

Usually it’s because the right people come along, or because the horse is ready for something different. Kelton Farm Starlett (scarlett) was a bit of both.

Seeing moments like this confirms we made the right call. Scarlett going to Hayley Brown and Bridey Brown for Pony Club felt right, and knowing she was in experienced, caring hands gave us real comfort. We certainly didn’t expect to see her quietly carrying (sister) Wajan’s five-year-old granddaughter around on New Year’s Day.

This is why we breed the kind of stock horses we do , so that if and when we do sell them they are— calm, capable and kind — and why it means so much to see them trusted and enjoyed by the next generation 💚💛
