Competition tomorrow Sunday 21st June at FACTC!

The DTL Smash ‘em for Cash series returns with thanks to the generosity and support of John Rowe!

S***t is also on the days program with 50 target singles and 50 target doubles! The more support for S***t competition, the more we can continue to offer!

A great day out for the family, plenty of delicious home made fare in the canteen, finger food with presentations, and plenty of cash for the winning!

With DTL Smash ‘em for Cash Round 1 scheduled for this Sunday, we are super excited to be running our first competition on the upgraded and fully and safely accessible Grounds 9 and 10. The 30 pair double rise will be shot on these grounds!

Thank you to Ryan Pitts for leading this project with significant contributions from Darrel Williams, Barrie Webley, Paul Calvi and Charlie Galea. A big thank you also to John Rowe for his brick laying expertise and to Andrew Papasavva and his team for the concreting!

Great team work and looking forward to seeing the grounds back in action this weekend!

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING UPDATE - A MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

I am honoured to have been elected the first female President of the Frankston Australian Clay Target Club at Tuesday's Annual General Meeting.

I would like to thank the members for their confidence and support, as well as outgoing President Eric Mills who I have been fortunate to work alongside as Club Secretary during his 7 year term.

Acknowledgment and thanks is also extended to Darrel Williams who has stood down from the Vice President role, and Tom Brauner who has chosen not to return to a General Committee Position, but will continue his great work in the office.

Having been involved in the administration of the sport for almost 20 years, I have gained extensive experience across all facets of clay target shooting including participation, officiating, competition delivery, governance, sport development, environmental impact, and member and stakeholder engagement. I am passionate about the sport and supporting the continued growth and success of our great club.

FACTC has a proud history and a strong community of members, volunteers and participants. And of course a very dedicated Committee who voluntarily contribute so much of their time for the betterment of the Club. I look forward to working closely and collaboratively with them as we continue to promote a welcoming and inclusive Club that provides a high standard and well equipped range, with opportunities to participate for shooters of all ages and abilities.

I am excited about the future of the club and committed to ensuring FACTC continues to be recognised as a leading venue for participation, competition and community engagement within our sport.

A reminder the FACTC AGM is on tomorrow night and Committee Nomination Forms are due in today!

Only persons over the age of 18 and who have been a Full ACTA Member of FACTC for at least two consecutive years (including in 2026) can be nominated for Committee positions. For those of you who fit this criterion and feel you might be able to make an enthusiastic and positive contribution to the Club, we encourage you to please consider submitting a nomination. A Club the size of FACTC is reliant on volunteers and we are always looking for assistance. If a position on the Committee is not a great fit for you, perhaps you might like to support the Club in another capacity.

We encourage you to attend this AGM and look forward to welcoming you on the 16 June.

FACTC Team Yellow were victorious in today’s South East Zone - Victoria DTL Series Round 3 Werribee Victorian Clay Target Club.

Congratulations to Terry Burns, Rob Williams Ryan Pitt’s, Sheridan Morley and Craig McDougall! Great representation for your Club!

We were treated to a beautiful sunny day for today’s competition, which attracted 8 squads in attendance.

Despite some great shooting, no one managed to shoot the program clean, so Round 2 of the FACTC Medley Challenge now jackpots to an impressive $1,500!
