On Friday night, March 13th, the Flinders Ranges Campdraft club proudly presented its Lifetime Achievement Award — a recognition reserved for those whose dedication, loyalty, and quiet hard work have helped shape the very foundation of the club.
This award is not given lightly. It honours members who, over many years, have continually shown up, supported, and strengthened the club in ways that go far beyond the arena.
This year, that honour was awarded to Bill and Barb Willoughby.
For nearly two decades, Bill and Barb have been at the heart of the club. Beginning their journey on the committee in 2008, they have contributed not just their time, but an incredible depth of knowledge across campdrafting, rodeos, and horse sports as a whole. Their understanding of rules, regulations, and SCA guidelines has been invaluable, helping guide the club through growth, challenges, and change.
But more than that, they’ve been steady hands and strong supporters — the kind of people every club relies on. The kind who lead without needing recognition, who give without expecting anything in return, and who help keep the spirit of campdrafting alive.
Their experience, commitment, and unwavering support have played a vital role in sustaining and shaping the Flinders Ranges Campdraft into what it is today.
This Life Membership stands as a small thank you for a very big contribution — one that will be felt for many years to come.
