Prue absolutely rocked it at the draft, not only was she competing on three horses, she was an integral part of making the weekend happen!

Her wonderful vest has come back from being embroidered.

On Friday night, March 13th, the Flinders Ranges Campdraft club proudly presented its Lifetime Achievement Award — a recognition reserved for those whose dedication, loyalty, and quiet hard work have helped shape the very foundation of the club.

This award is not given lightly. It honours members who, over many years, have continually shown up, supported, and strengthened the club in ways that go far beyond the arena.

This year, that honour was awarded to Bill and Barb Willoughby.

For nearly two decades, Bill and Barb have been at the heart of the club. Beginning their journey on the committee in 2008, they have contributed not just their time, but an incredible depth of knowledge across campdrafting, rodeos, and horse sports as a whole. Their understanding of rules, regulations, and SCA guidelines has been invaluable, helping guide the club through growth, challenges, and change.

But more than that, they’ve been steady hands and strong supporters — the kind of people every club relies on. The kind who lead without needing recognition, who give without expecting anything in return, and who help keep the spirit of campdrafting alive.

Their experience, commitment, and unwavering support have played a vital role in sustaining and shaping the Flinders Ranges Campdraft into what it is today.

This Life Membership stands as a small thank you for a very big contribution — one that will be felt for many years to come.

✨Special Event Broadcasting Encouragement Award✨

This year the Encouragement Award goes to a competitor who’s at the beginning of their campdrafting journey, having competed at just three Campdrafts so far. It takes grit to start, courage to keep showing up, and heart to keep learning.

Congratulations to Sarah Bradshaw, your determination to start in the campdrafting world was noticed at Carrieton. We hope to have you back competing at our Campdraft again.

This award isn’t about scores, it’s about effort, growth, and determination. We’re proud to recognise Sarah’s willingness to have a go, take on the challenge, and keep coming back for more.

Thankyou Vic and Di from Special Event Broadcasting for bringing this wonderful award to life 🤩

✨Crack off King and Queen✨

Last year we started a little fun award!
If you get cracked off in the camp, your name goes into a draw and at the end of the weekend we draw out a Crack off King and a Crack off Queen! 🤴🏻🫅🏼🙌🏻

This year two of our own were unlucky enough to have their names drawn at our Awards presentation, proving that no one in this sport is exempt from being cracked off in the camp!

Our 2026 Crack off Queen is Prue Fargher!!

Our 2026 Crack off King is Bill Willoughby!!

They get to take home a wonderful certificate to remind them of their efforts 😂🙌🏻

✨Jemagras HST Juvenile Award ✨

Congratulations to Jacqueline Wishart on winning the Juvenile Award.
Every where you looked on the weekend Jacqueline was spotted on a horse, with 12 runs over the weekend, I’m sure her feet barely touched the ground.
What a tremendous effort from Jacqueline 🙌🏻

Jacqueline took home a PVC Gear Bag from Bush Covers & Collars aswell as a portable blue tooth speaker donated by Elders Orroroo!

✨Tony Finn Memorial Top Cut Out✨

After a run off with 5 competitors on camp scores of 22, Mick Connelly followed it up with a camp score of 24, taking home the Top Cut Out Award.

The Tony Finn Memorial Top Cut Out, supported by the Finn family, is a special award for many of our club members, competitors and community members.

Mick was kind enough to say some heartfelt words about Tony and their friendship when presented this award. Thankyou Mick for your kind words 💕
