Gold Coast Basketball is out in force at today’s Queensland School Sport gold medal match. Seven of our junior representative players, Nate McDougall, Finn Newby, Nash Carr, Chris Huang, Jordan Hoi, Darren Jin and Kaylan Van Eeden, are taking the court for South Coast Basketball.

Good luck, boys. Go get that gold medal!

After incredible grading performances, we are proud to announce that 3 of our U18 boys teams have secured their place in Premier League for this U18 SQJBC season. Three teams in Premier League is a phenomenal achievement, a true reflection of the talent, dedication and hard work our athletes and coaches. Congratulations to our 18 Boys Rollers, Waves and Breakers!

Congratulations to our athletes selected to represent Gold Coast Basketball in the upcoming U18 Representative Season. Our teams have been working hard and are ready to hit the court tomorrow to kick off their SQJBC campaigns. OUR NEW YOUNG GUN

The BNZ Breakers are excited to welcome Preston Le Gassick to the club for NBL27, with a team option for NBL28.

Born on the Gold Coast to an Australian father and Kiwi mother, Preston brings a strong New Zealand connection and serious scoring power to the BNZ Breakers backcourt.

After averaging 21.3 points and 5.8 assists in NBL1 with the Gold Coast Rollers, the sharpshooting guard now joins the club ready to make his mark.

“I’ve always felt a strong connection to New Zealand,” said Le Gassick. “I’m ready to bring my energy and my shooting to help this team win a championship.”

Sunday 27 September, Coomera Indoor Sports Centre

1. Junior boys trial 10:30am to 12:00pm, seminar 12:00pm to 12:45pm
2. Senior boys trial 1:00pm to 2:30pm, seminar 2:30pm to 3:15pm
3. Girls trial 3:30pm to 5:00pm, seminar 2:30pm to 3:15pm

Sunday 22 November, Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre

1. Junior boys trial 10:30am to 12:00pm, seminar 12:00pm to 1:00pm
2. Senior boys trial 1:00pm to 2:30pm, seminar 2:30pm to 3:30pm
3. Girls trial 3:30pm to 5:00pm, seminar 2:30pm to 3:30pm

Each session is capped at 30 athletes. The seminars cover college recruitment, are open to athletes and parents, and are free to attend.
