A big weekend has just gone by, ending with success and a couple of premiership flags to be hung at Town Centre Reserve 🏆
Our Senior Grand Finals didn't disappoint as a big crowd turned out to see our 1sts & 3rds claim thrilling wins! A runfest on the main oval as steady partnerships right throughout Sunday saw the 1sts chase down 250 with just 15 balls to spare, Rukshan Fernando leading the way with a brilliant 76 while on the top oval, Ned Whelan upstaged all batters with a super 36 at the top of the order to claim man of the match honours to go along with a premiership medallion! 🏅
Our bowlers were just as instrumental on the Saturday. Farrukh Shahzad contributed 28 overs (1/66) as Braedon Mulheran & captain Roshan Laksiri each took 3 wickets while chief destroyers Samik Patel (3/45) & Saurav Bhanot (4/28) were outstanding for the 3rds 💪🏼
Our juniors were not to be outdone on their semi final weekend with our Under 13 A's winning through to a home grand final in sensational fashion with Muhammad Haris Fuad (2/12) & Shubham Dhar (17*) leading the way! 💥
Meanwhile, Abdullah Khan starred in the Under 15s with 2/19 & 40 runs to lead us into another Grand Final appearance. Tulip Sharma (53) & Aidan Devgan (40) were also instrumental in the win, while it wasn't to be for our U11s & U13 Green sides who went down but still have plenty to be proud of after a brilliant summer of their own! 🏏
