Caroline Springs Blue Devils Basketball Known As:The Blue Devils Basketball in particular was a special love for Dory. Dory was always the first person in the gym and the last to leave. Mr.

Theodore “Dory” Hall

Founder Caroline Springs Blue Devils Basketball Club

Dory as most people in our community knew him, was an adamant lover of all sports. Dory was never the best player on the team, but he was always on the team and the biggest supporter of the team. Dory started playing basketball back on the tough streets of Springfield M.A, the home of the Hall of Fame for Basketball. Ha

ll migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 2000 and moved to Caroline Springs in 2005. Dory’s passion for basketball included his favorite teams the Boston Celtic’s (NBA) and the Duke Blue Devil’s (NCAA), hence the name of our beloved Caroline Springs club. Soon after moving to Caroline Springs, it became evident to Dory that a community of this size needed a basketball club, and Dory set out to establish basketball in Caroline Springs. In 2006, the Blue Devils originally from Niddrie, officially became the Caroline Springs Blue Devils Basketball Club; one team of an enthusiastic group of kids, many of whom are still members of the club and a very passionate coach and student of the game. Dory also did coaching back in his younger days back in Springfield Mass, He always had a soft spot for that guy on the team that didn’t show up in the stat’s but always made a contribution to the team. It was never about individual accolades for Dory, but about team values first. Dory’s favorite type of player was a smart and crafty floor general. Good rebounders always had a place on Dory’s team. Hall was a purist of the game and love to coach and teach it that way. Theodore ‘Dory’ Hall was born April 24th 1963, and was diagnosed with bowel cancer on March 12 2007. Hall passed away at home with his family on October 12th 2007. His friends as the sport’s lover and Founder of the Caroline Springs Blue Devils will always remember him. His vision was to have kids throughout the community playing the sport he loved the most. As a direct result of the Caroline Springs Blue Devils Basketball Club, the Caroline Springs Lakeside Basketball Association was founded in Jan 2009 by Greg Beasley and Liam Wright, which now has over 500 kids currently playing basketball in the community of Caroline Springs.
