Our own Seb Seager has produced a translated edition of the Sword and Sabre fencing of Giordano Rossi (1885). It is a heavilly illustrated 278 page full pedagogy in the military style.
So far this is the only English edition.

As we cautiously peek our heads out of Lockdown #5, please keep your wits about you as we once again resume our regularly scheduled Monday Night training.

Hosted by VHCA at Parker Park (yes, our old venue with sprung wooden floors!), please come along and relive past glories on the stripe and maybe share the experience of making some new ones with the sabre.

This is going to be a good one. The Chows have been reading all kinds of stuff lately for inspiration.

The Course follows three principles. The first is that sabre is meant to be fun. The second is that sabre is a combat sport, and both combat and sport can only be learned by doing. The third principle is that sabre is diverse and ever changing.

We are still on for now and will update next week on any information we get. It will most likely come down to whether the council opts to close our hall in light of the outbreak.

Until then:
-use your own mask
-avoid grappling
-fist bump with your gloves on instead of handshaking

As in all other areas of life at the moment, keep washing your hands and coughing into your elbow. If you are sick, stay home.
