Kumataka St George Dōjō congratulates our own Gabriel Dayeh Sensei who was graded to Sanmokuroku (third degree black belt) in Sosuishi-ryu Jujutsu. Kumataka St George Dōjō congratulates our own Wojtek Bagadzinski who was graded to Nidan (second degree black) in Shorin-ryu Seibukan Karate-do at the hombu dojo in Okinawa. Wojtek was deeply grateful to Shimabukuro Zenpo Sensei, Zenshun Sensei and Zenei Sensei for their patience, guidance and support in preparation for the examination and for the opportunity to train with them and their members during this visit. We are thrilled for Wojtek over this achievement!! 🎉🎉👏👏👏

Recently Kumataka St George Dojo hosted our local federal member, Ash Ambihaipahar MP - Member for Barton, who visited us to find out about who we are, our contribution to our local community as a not-for-profit volunteer run organisation, and our place in the martial arts sphere - focusing on authentic, traditional Japanese and Okinawan martial arts, connected to their roots, with a focus on technique and cultivation of the art itself. We appreciated Ash's genuine interest in us and the difference that the Stronger Communities grant has made for us, and hope that this will help us to continue to grow.

Kumataka St George Dojo has ended our training year with some gradings in Shorin-ryu Seibukan Karate-do and we congratulate Mark Bartolo, Dimitri Mihailidis and Peter Mihailidis who graded to orange belt and Christina Georges who graded to yellow belt!! Well done to all!! 👏👏👏🎉🎉

Kumataka St George Dojo student Mark Bartolo has just completed an amazing training visit to the Shorin-ryu Seibukan Karate-do hombu dojo in Okinawa. Mark has gained much from this experience and expresses his deep gratitude to Zenpo Shimabukuro Sensei and his sons, Zenshun Sensei and Zenei Sensei, for their generosity, corrections and advice. Kumataka St George Dojo teaches Shorin-ryu Seibukan Karate-do as a chartered affiliated branch.
