REMINDER: Annual General Meeting (AGM 2026)

Dear CDSC Members,

REMINDER: Our Annual General Meeting of CDSC will be held on Sunday, 26 July 2026 at 1:00pm at Carcoar Dam Sailing Club.

Date: Sunday, 26 July 2026
Time: 1:00pm
Venue: Carcoar Dam Sailing Club

All members are encouraged to attend and take part in the meeting. The AGM is an important opportunity to review the past year, discuss the future direction of the club, and elect members to committee positions.

The following positions will be declared open and available for nomination:

1. Commodore

2. Vice Commodore

3. Secretary

4. Treasurer & associated roles

Race Committee Members & She Sails Represenitave & any other positions as required under the club rules or constitution

Members are also advised that the club requires the formation of a new Race Committee. Nominations are therefore invited from members who are interested in assisting with the planning, organisation, and running of club racing activities & provide future club support programs.

Nominations for all positions will open and close on Sunday, 26 July 2026, being the date of the AGM.

All nominations must be submitted on the day of the AGM. Any positions not filled by nomination may be dealt with at the AGM in accordance with the club’s constitution and rules.

Following the AGM, there will be a grace period for members to pay their new membership fees. Members are advised that once this grace period has ended, the club’s gate codes and locks will be changed.

Members are also advised that fees for the newly concreted boat storage shed are proposed to increase for the 2026/27 season. Further details will be discussed at the AGM.

We strongly encourage all members to consider nominating for a position or supporting the committee in any way they can. The ongoing success of CDSC depends on the involvement and contribution of its members.

Pigot's Midwestern Mini Mix Some acts of generosity deserve far more than a simple “thank you.”

Carcoar Dam Sailing Club would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the incredible team at Mid Western Mini Mix for their outstanding donation of 25 cubic metres of concrete towards our new boat storage shed upgrade.

This is, without question, one of the largest single donations our club has ever received.

As a volunteer-run community sporting club, projects of this scale simply aren’t possible without businesses and organisations that genuinely believe in supporting regional communities. Pigot's Midwestern Mini Mix generosity has transformed what was once just a vision into a lasting asset that will benefit our members, junior sailors and future generations for many years to come.

We would also like to sincerely thank Blayney Shire Council for its co-funding through the Request for Financial Assistance for the Upgrades to Carcoar Dam Storage Shed. Council’s support provided the foundation for this project, and together with the generosity of our local businesses, has allowed this important upgrade to become a reality.

A special thank you also goes to Paul Rudd Concrete Paul Rudd Concreting who went above and beyond to complete the concrete installation. Paul generously worked with the club, stretching his own budget to help ensure the project could be delivered. That level of community spirit is something we deeply appreciate.

We also gratefully acknowledge Complete Reo Complete Reo for donating the reinforcing steel required for the slab. Their contribution was another vital piece of the puzzle.

The completed concrete floor now provides a safe, durable and professional storage facility for our growing fleet of training boats, rescue vessels and club equipment. It is an investment that will strengthen sailing in the Central West for many years to come.

To Frazer and the team at Mid Western Mini Mix, Paul Rudd Concrete, Complete Reo Orange, and Blayney Shire Council, thank you for believing in our club and investing in its future. Your generosity extends far beyond concrete, steel and funding. It is an investment in volunteers, young people, community sport and the continued growth of sailing in our region.

CDSC Thanks
Community Support Making a Difference!

A huge thank you to Dave & CompleteReo Orange for their generous support of CDSC through co-funding our storage shed upgrade this winter. Their donation of steel ribmesh and chairs, along with delivering the materials directly to our club, has been a tremendous help in getting this important project underway.

We would also like to sincerely thank Blayney Shire Council for their support through funding the concrete installation costs. Their contribution has played a vital role in helping us improve our club facilities for the benefit of our members and the wider community.

CDSC supporting sailing opportunities for everyone. Thanks to SheSails Australian Sailing We’re excited to hear that CDSC, along with 53 other sailing clubs and class associations across Australia have been successful in receiving Round 2 Sail Our Way grants.

The funded projects include introductory sailing experiences, coaching programs, leadership and mentoring initiatives, and participation activities, demonstrating the strong commitment across the sailing community to creating more inclusive pathways into the sport.
