⚽️Australasian Futsal - Champion of Champions⚽️

Over the recent weekend, our U12 & U13 Kimberley College girls teams competed in the Australasian Futsal Champion of Champions Tournament.

The U12 girls narrowly missed out on the finals by 1 goal, finishing 3rd overall. This team had three U9 girls (Isla Hunnam, Sierra Hunnam, and Willow Heron) and all scored a goal during the tournament, which is a fantastic achievement.

Our U13 girls qualified for the finals and fought hard, valiantly going down 6-4 and finishing 2nd overall.

⚽️Summer State Futsal Titles⚽️

Yesterday we had our U12, U14 and16 boys, and U16 girls compete at Nissan Arena for the Summer State Futsal Titles.

A special mention to our U12 boy's team who were undefeated and finished Champions 🏆. And to our U16 girl's team who finished runners-up after a hard-fought Grand Final.

Well done Kimberley College!

Senior Boys - Grand Final

A huge congratulations to our Kimberley College Senior boys team for their Grand Final 4-0 win today against Varsity College 🏆

The team were focused and determined to get the result after a strong season so far this year.

We had some great moments throughout which included our year 8 student, Daniel, who was brought in due to injuries/illnesses scoring a goal in the second half… to Connor, our goal keeper and captain saving a penalty 🤩

This is a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved. Congratulations on a great performance boys 👏🥇

The QFSL Grand Finals will be hosted by Rochedale Rovers FC at their home ground of Underwood Park!

Yesterday our senior football students completed the FFA Miniroos Coaching Course as part of the senior football curriculum we embed here at the College.

The completion of this course provides our football students an opportunity to step in the direction with coaching the next generation of young footballers who want to learn and have fun.

Thank you Football Queensland for facilitating the course for our Kimberley College football students.

⚽️Winter State Futsal Titles⚽️

This week we had our U11, U12 and U16 boys team compete in this competition.

All teams were successful in making the Grand Final match for their respective age group.

U11’s - Champions

U16’s - Runners up

Our teams were able to play 5-6 games throughout the day and represented the College aligned to it’s values.

⚽️Champion of Champions - South East Queensland Futsal⚽️

Last week we had 5 teams compete in the South East Queensland Futsal, Champion of Champions, after their efforts in qualifying for this competition earlier this year (Brisbane Metro Titles).

Teams that made it to the semi-finals stage (top 4 per age group) qualified for the Australasians, Champion of Champions held in September.

After coming runners up in the Brisbane Metro Titles qualifying competition earlier this year, we are exceedingly proud that our U12 girls were able to show their improvements over the last 6 months and finish off as Champions 🏆 We would like to acknowledge that this team had three U9 girls who had recently joined in the last 6 months and played in their first competitive competition in which they represented the College in outstanding fashion 🤩 Well done!

⚽️U12 QLD School Sport State Championships⚽️

The recent weekend seen two of our Year 6 Kimberley College students, Zahra and Sahara participate in this state wide competition.

The girls played some great football and combined together really well as South Coast finished in 3rd place 👏

⚽️U19 QLD School Sport State Championships⚽️

Connor Damsma competed in this state-wide competition representing the U19 South Coast region over a 3-day tournament held over the recent weekend.

Connor showed great talent and competitiveness as the weather and field conditions provided for a slippery and muddy tournament.

Through Connor's performances, he was selected for the U19 QLD School Boys team in which he will compete at Nationals next month in Sydney 👏

⚽️Uhlsports Cup⚽️

Today we see our senior boys team defeat St Augustine’s in our final group stage match of this competition. We finish in 🥇 place, undefeated.

The boys played comfortably and controlled the game throughout even when playing with 10 men for half the match due to illness and injuries.

We now look forward to the quarter finals of the competition, scheduled to be played in the next 3 weeks.

We thank Souths United Football Club for hosting our match.
