💚Heart of the Pack 💚

This week’s Heart of the Pack goes to Jodie! 🐺🤍

🐺UP THE HILL. ⚽

Travelling away to Collie is always a difficult fixture to manage battling the cold and travel usually puts the away team on the back foot before the first whistle.

The first half took a while to settle for both teams as opportunities presented themselves thick and fast at both ends of the park in the first 5 minutes.

At the 7th minute Coco was brought down 25 yards out to earn Wolves a free in a dangerous area.
Eden stepped up and got the ball over the wall and down again under the crossbar for an absolute worldie of a goal from the free kick.
4 minutes later Collie broke through our lines to equalise.
After 15 minutes of chaos the game settled into its pace with firm football being played by both teams.
Half time whistle sounded at 1-1.

The second half seemed a long way from the first with Wolves coming out strong and controlling the game from the get go.
Sharp passing and strong defending kept the ball in our attacking half for long periods of time pressuring the Collie goal time and time again but Collies defense were up to the task of keeping the ball out of the net.
Towards the end of the second half Rae got to realise her dream of breaking out of her usual FB position and was finally allowed a run on the wing. This experimental maneuver paid off when she found herself in space a good 35 yards out and decided to knock an attacking cross in which floated perfectly over the keeper and into the back of the net. Jaws dropped in disbelief for a second time this game as worldie number 2 was realised.

We would like to thank Collie Power Soccer Club for their warm welcome, fantastic banter and for playing a brilliant game that pushed us to our limits. We look forward to matching up again next season!
