Bayside District Amateur Radio Society incorporated, a non-profit voluntary organisation comprising Amateur Radio Operators and electronics experimenters in SE Qld. Bayside District Amateur Radio Society (BDARS) is a non-profit voluntary organisation comprising Amateur Radio Operators and electronics experimenters mainly from Redland City area, of greater Brisbane. Amateur radio (also called ham

radio) is part of a truly international hobby open to licence holders to use designated radio frequency spectra for purposes of private recreation, non-commercial exchange of messages, wireless experimentation and self-training. BDARS helps local people to become licensed amateurs and to broaden their knowledge of radio, electronics and microelectronics by running a variety of regular activities. These include courses, workshops and group activities. Anyone is welcome to attend our general meetings and see for themselves what is happening in this broad technical hobby.
