Club Championship - Men's Fours Sun 7 June

Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th was also the Men's Club Championship Fours Semi-finals and Finals.

At Saturday's semi-finals Team Darryl (Darryl Lee, Glenn Robertson, Jon Freeman & Rod Griffith) battled Team Dave (Dave Coleman, Rod Duncan, Geoff Rixon & Russell Smith) with Team Darryl winning the game. The second game between Team Mykal (Mykal Prosser, Jim McCartney, Jim Shiels & Peter Shoebridge) and Team Terry (Emilio Travaini, George Martin, Bruce Williams & Terry Smith) ended with Team Mykal getting up.

So on Sunday, it was a close game with an end score of 25 v 21 in favour of Mykal Prosser's team. Congratulations to Mykal, Jim, Jim & Shoey on becoming 2026 Club Champions! 🍻🥳🦉

Well, what a weekend for bowls @ Canungra for our Men's and Ladies' Fours Club Championships.

Our Ladies Fours Club Championship Semis played on Saturday 6 June with Team Nat (Trudy, Danni, Amanda & Nat) taking on Team Kerri (Val, Karin, Kelly & Kerri). Team Kerri got up and then played against Team Wendy (Jodie-Anne, Ann, Donna & Wendy) at the Finals on Sunday.

Congratulations to Team Val Reiser, Karin Zieke, Kelly Street & Kerri Weston on winning the Club Championship Fours for 2026 with a score of 26 to 8. A great game! 🥳🦉

What is better on a glorious Winter's Day than a fun game of bowls with good friends??!!! The Canungra Ladies were excited to welcome back their sister club, Rathdowney, for their annual participation in our LWP competition.

All players (and we appreciate the menfolk who stepped in for numbers) had a grand day with much appreciation for both the food and company.

Congratulations goes to Rathdowney Bowls for winning the day on 63 to Canungra's 44 and we were pleased to recognise Patsy Waters, Jan Llewellyn & Trevor (Snow) Domjahn for their highest rink at +8. 🥳🦉

The Canungra Ladies were delighted to welcome back the Robina Ladies last Monday 1 June, after an absence from the competition over the last couple of years. It was lovely to see them and enjoy the day of bowls & good friendship!

Congratulations to Robina on winning the day on 69 to Canungra's 38 and to Marilyn Bradley, Sharon Windle & Ray Williams on winning highest rink at +22! 🏆🦉
