Sadly mountain biking lost a great supporter in Peter Hallinan who passed away last week. For 20 years Peter's great passion was mountain biking. He was a past President of the Gold Coast MTB Club and was instrumental in obtaining funding and approvals for the construction of the trails at the Hinze Dam known as the "Peter Hallinan Mountain Bike Precinct". So next time you are enjoying the trails think of Peter. There will be a ride, bbq & get together to remember Peter at the Gilston Rd, Hinze Dam entrance on Saturday 5th September 2pm

We are having a break in 2013 from hosting events but this does not mean we are not still involved in the Sport. We are flat out with our trail building division and have completed Stage 1 at Hinze Dam (5km) which is now open for riding and have started construction on stage 2 which will give you a total are on 10km once the Stage 2 is open.

Drought Buster 6hr Postponed - Living up to our name had more heavy rain last night & won't have enough time to fix crossing, trails before 3rd March. Will announce a new date soon. We always want to give you the best trails & course so have decided to postpone to another date to be advised.

Just 5 weeks to go till the Drought Buster 6hr. When we chose the name we could never of thought of the recent rain. Our heart goes out to all those flood victims and hope all our event participants, families and homes are o.k.

Thanks to everyone for all your kind comments on how much you enjoyed the event. It really helps keep you going after so many events were cancelled earlier in the year because of the weather.
