Tractor Operators Wanted – Silage Season (2 Positions)

Townsend Rural is looking for 2 experienced Tractor Operators to join our silage contracting team based in Canowindra NSW. Our season starts early September and will finish around Christmas time.

We are a family-run silage contracting business operating throughout New South Wales. We run modern Fendt and JCB tractors.

The Role

Operating tractors towing quad and tri-axle silage trailers
Working as part of a professional harvesting crew
Long hours during peak periods with good earning potential

Requirements

Current driver’s licence minimum
Ability to work long hours in a team environment
Reliable, motivated and willing to travel
Previous tractor or agricultural machinery experience is preferred

Mc driver position available.

We currently have a position available for an experienced truck driver.
The role requires hay to be delivered to the Taree area. It also involves local truck and dog work carting grain, lime and silage. In quiet times, the opportunity is there to be involved in all aspects of a large scale, family owned farming operation.
Experience in daily maintenance and tyre fitting would be advantageous but not essential.
A generous renumeration package to be negotiated depending on experience. A modern 3 bedroom brick house to be included if required.

This drone would have to be the best investment we’ve made this year. We could buy 4 of these each year with the amount of crop we run down spraying late in the season with fungicides.
Andy sprayed 130ha of wheat for rust at 15l/ha today with one drone. We will be running 2 together next year. No more tram tracked crops for us.
