🏆GRAND FINAL RESULTS🏆

CL3
Our CL3 team faced a mountain in front of them, coming up against the minor premiers Brindabella Blues Football Club (BBFC). Battling injury, illness, and a fun case of gastro, the boys took the match right to the final minute. Conceding a last minute free kick (which we still think was debatable), Brindabella found the back of the net and won the game 2-1 🤝

CL10
Kicking off the first match on grand final day, the CL10 final was played by two teams who had not played against each other at all throughout the regular season. This meant that both teams needed to hit the ground running from the first whistle. ANU Football Club put up a valiant fight, but were no match for our CL10 team, who won the minor premiership as well as the grand final, winning 4-1 on the day, and bringing a trophy back to Narrabundah FC 🏆

Narrabundah FC is lucky enough to be involved in another 2 finals this year.

CLO10 vs ANU FC
Having been top of the table all season, our Bundah team is looking to capitalise on their fantastic season and bring the trophy home. ANU FC is never an easy match, and we don’t expect this game to be any different. Best of luck to both teams out there!

CLO3 vs Brindabella Blues FC
Following our boys amazing Australia Cup run at the start of this season, they are looking to go back to back Champions in the CLO3 division. At the end of their season plagued by injuries and unauthorised European trips, they meet a very tidy Brindabella Blues side who won’t make life easy.

We’re expecting a great turn out of support as a club, so make sure to get down, join in the noise, and hopefully share in the celebrations! 🐂⚽️

📣SEMI FINAL RESULTS📣

CLO10 - Our CLO10’s started off the finals with their 10am kick off against Woden Valley. In a defensive masterclass from both teams, a 0-0 after 90min meant the game needed extra time to see it through. Our boys managed to score in extra time, and hold out the 1-0 win until the final whistle. A spot in the Grand Final was secured 🏆

CLO8 - The newcomers in a promoted division, our CLO8 team won the minor premiership with some points to spare. Although they entered the finals with confidence, anything is possible in our beautiful game. On the day, the Tuggeranong opposition managed to get to a 2-0 lead. Although Bundah did scrape one back, Tuggeranong Utd were able to see out the game, and secure their spot in the final ❌

CLO4 - A tough and physical match is always on the cards against a Qbn FC team which almost managed to go undefeated during the regular season. The CLO4 Bundah team managed to hold a 1-1 draw at half time, however, with some clinical crosses early in the second half from Qbn FC, the momentum was quickly lost and the top seed from the CLO4 comp booked their place in the finals ❌

CLO3 - It wouldn’t be the finals if there wasn’t some penalty drama, and the CLO3’s did not disappoint. After scoring late to take the game into extra time, the team found themselves at the penalty spot. With Cooma in the lead during pens, a critical save from Bundah’s GK Will kept the team in it. Managing to hold their nerve, they scored the last goal to win 8-7 on penalties, and make their way to the Grand Final 🏆

4 Bundah teams entered the semi’s, and 2 have gone one step better and will be playing in the upcoming finals. Can they go all the way? Best of luck lads ⚽️🐂

📢SEMI FINALS📢

It’s that time of year, and Narrabundah has solid representation in the Capital League Opens semi finals.

All the hard work throughout the year, training, injuries, and cold Tuesday nights at Deakin, have led our teams to this position.

Please make sure you get out and support the lads.

Our CL10 and CL8 team will be at Lyneham from 10am. Our CL3 and CL4 teams will be at the University of Canberra from 10am.
