Well hello everyone how are we on this fine Sunday, apology for the long time between posts it's hard to find time to let loose between a full time job a family and full stuck into a rebuild on the HQ, but we got the wagon out for a walk in the park this morning for the monthly Dubbo cars and coffee very good display of vehicles I look forward to this alot, the wagon got a full detail and many grueling hours spent from Alan yesterday, last night, and this morning, it really shines like a diamond this one, definitely the ultimate daily driver the 'Holden by design' VY Berlina Ls1, 6 speed manual is always a delight to drive and sounds tough, definitely falls into the modern classic/muscle category. I've always liked this vehicle He still won't swap me for the landcruiser but I'll keep trying.

Quick throw back to may 2018, As i had my crack in the driver seat in the Aussie Driver Search Semi-Pro competition, much anticipation in the lead up to this event but I climbed into a Toyota 86 at Sydney MOTORSPORT park with none other than Glen seaton in the passenger seat as a judge off we went, semi-pro comp format was 10 minutes in 3 different cars based on scores from 100, judging included: speed and pace consistency, smooth gears, mechanical sympathy, sharp racing lines, driver attitude and ability to follow instructions, in the 86 I scored 56-100 followed by the little BMW hatch I scored 70-100 then The V8 ute 78-100 , a score of 204 - 300, got me in the top 10 from 30 drivers and secured me a spot in the finale and Wakefield park raceway Goulburn in December 2018,, unfortunately yesterday I hear of the news that ADS has been placed in voluntary liquidation all events have been ceased, many many people will be fighing for a long time to retrieve their money backfor the 2019 season, with added conflict from Matt Stone Racing things are going to get pretty nasty it's only early days yet so let's see where it goes. Motorsport is a tough game with no money.

My 1974 HQ, My absolute pride and joy, owned this car since 2009 first car I ever bought. As a skinny little 14 year old I was in holden heaven , never driven a car in my life that has made me feel this proud , it was rough around the edges but it got more attention and thumbs up than anything else I've owned, I've been chipping away on it and big progress is starting to happen so don't rule it out , it may be back quicker than you think 👌🔥⛽
