Four moderate sessions earns more total MEPs than two hard ones. A walk, swim, yoga, bike ride. All of it adds up. The key is frequency.

The 2-minute rule works because of activation energy: the minimum effort required to start a reaction.

In human behaviour, starting a task requires dramatically more mental energy than continuing one. That's why the warm-up matters. Two minutes of movement is usually enough for resistance to dissolve.

Next time you don't feel like training, just show up for the warm-up. Let activation energy take care of the rest.

A single boxing session works your shoulders, arms, and chest through striking, your legs and glutes through footwork and stance changes, your core through every rotation and defensive movement, and your cardiovascular system through sustained high-output effort. Add in the coordination required to string combinations together and the mental focus needed to react in real time, and you're training your brain as hard as your body.
