Hi everyone, the ACT cross country championships are on Sunday 19 July if you are interested in registering, there is also a skills clinic on the week before on 12 July - register at the link below.

🏃The 2026 ACT Cross Country Championships are almost here, with races open to athletes aged 6 years and above of all abilities. 🏃

This event is the only qualifying opportunity for the 2026 Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships in Ballarat, making it a must-do for athletes aiming to compete on the national stage.

Whether you're chasing a qualification spot, a personal best, or simply looking to test yourself, come and enjoy another great day of racing at Stromlo Forest Park against some of the ACT's best distance runners.

Thank you to all our athletes and families for attending our 25-26 end of season award ceremony and AGM last Sunday. We are so proud of all the athletes for their commitment this season, the parents for volunteering to help as age managers, running the meets and canteen each week and being on the committee. And thanks to our junior coaches too. Thank you everyone!😃👏🏻

Just a reminder that our 2025-26 season presentation day and Annual General Meeting is on next Sunday!

⏰ Join us on Sunday 3 May, 3pm in the Fred Daly room, Canberra Labor Club (Belconnen), Chandler Street.

🏆 There will be free snacks, presentations, including a medal for each athlete (excluding Tiny Tots as they already had their presentation) as well as age group and perpetual trophy winners.

📓🗳️ The AGM and committee elections will also be held, this is a great opportunity to put your hand up and take on a role in the club for next season. We have a variety of roles to suit families with different availability- including mid week and shared roles. Please feel free to reach out to the committee for more information, and there will be information at the AGM too.

Congratulations to all of Team ACT on their performances on day 1 of the Australian Little Athletics championships in Brisbane.

Belconnen under 13 athlete Layla is now the national champion in the 800m 🥇 👏🥳👏

Goodluck to all the athletes for day 2. Layla will be competing in the 1,500m today - her favourite race. Good luck Layla - we will be cheering you on 🤞
