2026 A.C.T NAS State Championships

What a great team!
With 22 competitors from our dojo, we won
11 State titles and 36 medals in total!
What an amazing result!

Regardless of whether you came away with a medal or not, you all conducted yourselves in the true spirit of competition.
A number of officials commented to me on your sportsmanship - not one of you were disqualified and barely received a penalty!

As I often say, what you learn from the event is much more important than the result of an individual match.
You all competed with honour and should be proud.

Thank you to all the Parents and Supporters who gave up their Sunday to support our competitors. It was truly appreciated.

I went to Melbourne to officiate at Hanshi George Kolovos’ tournament.
A huge event with around 200 competitors and a “who’s who” of Australian martial artists.
It was great to catch up with some old friends that I haven’t seen in years.
After the lunch break Hanshi honoured us with an awards ceremony.
I was awarded a certificate for my contribution to Australian martial arts.
Thank you Hanshi, truly appreciated.
