Comp recap (again)
Partner comp this time out in Orange (big thanks to for the day)

It was a scorcher out in the birthplace of Banjo Paterson, and the lads had only managed to get one session in together in the lead up, nevertheless we managed to pull off the win in the u200kg combined division.

Event 1: Dual truck pull - 13sec
Event 2: Max overhead in 4 mins - 80kg + 110kg
Event 3: Dual farmers walk (150kg per hand) and tyre flip - 40sec
Event 4: Tandem deadlift - 430kg
Event 5: Stone ping pong - 80kg x 15reps

Big props to my boy Jacob for bringing his A game and getting his first comp win πŸ₯‡

Congrats to and for winning the atlas stone award, and for fighting hard as one of the few all girl teams,
And thanks as always to our great comp support crew , we appreciate you ❀️

ACT Strongest recap

First comp in over a year, and I definitely have some things to work on!

Learning to navigate a 2-day competition is also a skill I will need to develop, as waking up with a busted body and going back out to compete again is certainly not an enjoyable experience πŸ˜‚

Events were:
Day 1:
Monster Dumbell 70kg, 72.5kg, 75kg.
This is my most hated event, and I’ve been avoiding it for 5 years, I think my performance reflected that πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Farmers walk 120kg to zercher carry 210kg.
I definitely panicked on this one, not my best performance.

Flagpole raise, ascending weights.
This was the only event I won on the weekend, I picked a different strategy and it paid off on this occasion, saving me from having to do a nudie run πŸ˜…

Day 2:
Max deadlift 210kg, 240kg, 250kg
Warming up these felt like absolute dogsh*t, so I put my opener at the lowest I was allowed, then when my left arm didn’t disconnect from my body I pushed it a little bit, but not enough to come near the other lads in my division, a little disappointing but not that surprising.

Sandbag throw 15kg, 15kg, 20kg, 20kg, 25kg
Just didn’t have the strength for this last bag, everything else felt fine though.

Atlas stones over 1.3m, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160kg
Again just wasn’t quite strong enough for the last stone, this is also the first stone I’ve failed in a long time so this one hurt, not that it would have been enough to pull me out of last place anyway.

As always thanks to .strongman for putting on a great weekend, thanks to for running the gauntlet with me, thanks the boys in my division for the support and the challenge, and to all my crew who came out to support, you guys know who you are, you are all amazing ❀️

Keen to have a proper crack next year so straight back to training I go.
