We also thank the Vikings Group for their valued support. Judo was established in 1882 in Japan by Professor Jigoro Kano. It was derived fro

m a range of martial arts predominant in Japan at that time, the most influential of which was Jiujitsu. Judo is a sport which teaches discipline, physical and mental control and does NOT include punching and kicking. Our main aim for children is to have a fun experience while giving them a structured advancement based on reachable physical and mental goals. The overall experience endowers the children with better co-ordination and respect for other people. Training is held at Charles Conder Primary School,

Mondays - 6.00pm to 7.30pm
Thursdays - 6.00pm to 7.30pm

We cater for all grades and ages (children must be at least 6 years of age). You can call in and discuss the sport of Judo with us at these times, or contact us, see below.

Huge congratulations to Tom, Nicholas, and Jacob, who traveled up to the Gold Coast over the weekend to compete in the Australian National Judo Championships!

​These three men show up week after week, session after session, putting in grueling efforts. All that relentless hard work paid off on the national stage with some absolutely fantastic results in huge divisions!

​An achievement like this takes a village, massive shoutout to Shorty (Andrew Fairhall) for being mat-side all weekend, guiding our men through every tough match. Also to Ben Cramp and all the Ni Bonchi coaches as well as the Judo ACT State coaches. Thank you for your invaluable help and dedication in preparing the men for this tournament.

Judo or Ballroom?

​If you walked past the dojo tonight, you might have thought we’d traded Judo for ballroom! We were busy refining our skills, working on our footwork, and sharpening those transitions.

​Such great energy on the mats tonight. Fantastic job to everyone who showed up and put in the work.

Ni Bonchi will be having an open mat session this Saturday from 1130 until 1 for any registered player who wants to come and get some additional training in coming up to nationals. No mat fees for anyone as the club will cover venue costs with the school. All mats will be out so plenty of room for everyone. Hope to see you there.
