Took advantage of one of the last opportunities to get out of Andorra and string together some long training days to start building a bit of a base again.

The heat definitely made things a little tougher, but it was great to get out, enjoy the riding, and spend a few days on the road. The biggest motivation, though, was having my little man and Mum meeting me along the way to top up bottles and keep me rolling.

Iā€™m still not sure who had more fun ā€” me out on the bike or Harrison in the car. Seeing his excitement was all the encouragement I needed to keep turning the pedals.

A few nice hotels, plenty of kilometres, and some quality father-son time made for a pretty special little adventure. Weā€™re making the most of these moments while we can before baby number two arrives and our team grows from three to four.

A few weeks post-Giro and itā€™s good to finally be on the right side of things again.

2 weeks post-Giro and things are finally starting to head in the right direction. The concussion symptoms have turned a corner, the metrics and S**T protocols are showing good progress, and most importantly Iā€™m feeling good again. Really happy with where things are at.

The elbow has also progressed a lot quicker than the old scaphoid did, which has meant Iā€™ve been able to get back out for some easy rides outdoors already.

Not going to lie, this year has been a tough one mentally. Every time things start building in the right direction, another setback seems to pop up, and when a lot of it is completely out of your control it definitely wears thin.

But nothing changes there ā€” Team Vine is fully behind me, helping work through it all and plan the next steps forward.

For now though, the focus is at home with Bre getting very close to her due date. Baby number two will be taking top priority over the next little while.

Also appreciate all the messages and well wishes over the past few weeks. Doesnā€™t go unnoticed šŸ«”

Stage one done and dusted. This one was for the fast boys ā€” all about staying safe, staying out of trouble, and surviving what was always going to be a messy sprint finish with the pink jersey up for grabs.

We kept our nose clean, and just got caught behind the crash but wasnā€™t involved, so thatā€™s good. Onto day two!

Back on here for a little life update ā€” itā€™s been a while.

Since Volta a Catalunya, Iā€™ve been home in Andorra soaking up some quality time with the family, while also putting a big focus on rehab for the wrist. Really happy with how things have been progressing on that front ā€” itā€™s been a lot of work behind the scenes, but itā€™s starting to pay off.

I also managed to get a solid little stint of altitude in at home before heading off to join the team here in Sierra Nevada for camp. Itā€™s always a good block up here with the boys ā€” simple routine of training, eating, recoveringā€¦ repeat.

Havenā€™t shared much lately, not for lack of updates, just been busy juggling training, rehab appointments, and family time. But everythingā€™s moving in the right direction.

With the Giro dā€™Italia coming up in a few weeks, Iā€™m getting excited to pin a number on again. Trainingā€™s been solid, the bodyā€™s feeling good, and Iā€™m looking forward to getting back into racing.
